The ambiance of the restaurant is charming, with beautiful decor and a welcoming vibe. We were pleasantly surprised with complimentary papad and salad as we waited for our food, which was a nice touch. The service was quick and attentive, and the food did not disappoint. Although they offer a buffet, we decided to order from their à la carte menu. Prices were slightly higher than listed, but the Tangra-style chili chicken was outstanding, and the chicken pepper fry and fried rice were also delicious. The grilled chicken was well-cooked, though the creamy herb sauce that came with it was the real highlight. Pasta had a good texture and was enjoyable as well. The mutton in the biryani was soft, but the overall flavor could be improved for a better taste experience. SpiceIt is the restaurant in the IBIS Chennai premises. We had breakfast buff as well as dinner. The breakfast buffet has variety of vegetarian dishes and a few egg options. They do have chicken sausages too. The live kitchen is amazing and continues to dish out all varieties of dosa, egg preparations and french toasts, pancakes too. They have a limited selection of fruits and juices along with donuts in the dessert option. Puri bhaji, stuffed parathas are also available along with idli, pongal, tomato rice. I visited Spice It, Ibis Citi Centre, Chennai yesterday and it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food options were extremely limited, leaving us with barely anything decent to choose from. I honestly cannot understand how this place is part of the Accor group.

To make it worse, the dessert section was almost non-existent – just a few very common sweets thrown together. It was downright embarrassing as I had taken my friend there for a treat, only to be let down so badly.

I would never go back here again and I would absolutely never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Totally not worth the price, or the brand...
