Sri Balaji Homely Mess — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

It's a hidden gem. it was was little difficult to locate the mess during the first visit, then I had called them and they guided me. It's exactly located in front of Aiyer and co, adjacent to Woodland showroom. I had arrived at the mess after 3 pm, and I had doubt if I could taste some of their delicacies. I was lucky enough. Ordered Chicken Biriyani and it was good and different in taste, it was difficult to compare with any other biriyani's. Vanjaram was over and hence I ordered Cheemeen chilli. Later It striked in my mind that it was prawns, good 5 to 6 of prawns were there in the plate. Also got half white rice and tried their Mutton gravy, chicken gravy, fish gravy and Rasam. I loved their fish gravy which reminded me of our home made fish gravy And don not miss their rasam as well. Also tried thier egg paniyaram and Kheema vadai, after along time had a very good kheema vadai. Will visit...

First note: Vegetarian options are none. Secondly there are no other options except rice.

The hotel is located inside, I've mentioned in my video behind the woodland showroom from the main road, there'll be a board in front.

The egg panniyaram was good here, and the meals with 3 gravy is a must try, we had chicken chops which was less chicken in it, but the gravy was superb. A non veg rice lover, do not miss this place at no cost. Meals cost is Rs.90 rest chicken/mutton/fish costs above 100. But plain meals will satisfy your hunger and for sure cravings. (The parking is bit problematic in this location...

Right in rs puram this small eatery is frequented by nearby office and shop goers...food is good , chicken biriyani and meals , mutton sukka etc are tasty...but.place is a little dark , and very hot to eat...you will be sitting eating and sweating profusely...the approach is also not very pleasing or rather a put off bcos we need to go through small dingy spaces before we arrive at this place...so food is a go ahead...but location , space , experience...a definite...
