We are quite impressed with this place. We have ordered fish Kabiraji, mutton cutlet and prawn cutlet and mutton Biriyani. I will share their review one by one.

Fish Kabiraji- It was the best among all the 3 starters which we took. The taste was simply wow. It was made with pure bhetki fish and it was so well marinated that whenever we were talking a bite the fish was just melting in our mouth. I will highly recommend this item of Mitra cafe.

Mutton Cutlet- Though the taste was good enough but the portion of mutton mince was very less. You can give it a try.

Prawn Cutlet- This one was also very mouthwatering and again I would definitely like to mention that the taste was super because of the superb marination of the prawn. This item is also highly recommended.

Mutton Biriyani- The only reason I'm rating this place 4/5 because of these Biriyani, otherwise I would have rated this cafe 5/5. The quality and quantity of rice was good. The rice was not so oily neither it was oversmelling, also it was not over moist. But, the mutton pieces were very small and it was not so soft, even the potato was not well cooked.

Now coming into the budget part. Along with this 4 items(1 fish Kabiraji, 1mutton cutlet, 1prawn cutlet and 1special mutton Biriyani) we have took one mineral water and one masala thumps up and they charged us 914 bucks. We were 2 and the quantity of food was more than enough for us.

Last but not the least- the staffs were well behaved and the service was also good. Also they are maintaining fair amount of safety measures...

The fish fries at Mitra Cafe are a must-try, boasting a perfect balance of crispiness and tenderness, with a tantalizing blend of spices that elevate the flavor profile. Each bite is a symphony of textures and tastes, leaving patrons craving for more.

It was 8:30 pm yesterday. I went there with my family. Ordered for fish/chicken kabiraji, which is their signature dish. But they told that it was unavailable, so we had to order other items. But I felt humiliated, when they sell the same kabiraji to other customers, who came later than me. I was there for more than one hour. It happened with other customers also. They some how try to persuade you to order food with their will. It also happened with other customers also. I later asked their manager, but he was uncomfortable with my question, tried to fix it. Now come to chowmin, chicken tikka kabab, chicken tandoori, Vetki tandoori. Those were ordinary , not outstanding. I got those better in Bhajahori ranna, Aminia. Can't say anything about kabiraji as I didn't got the opportunity to taste it. Cleanliness was good, Staffs were good in behavior, very cordial . I frequently go to various restaurant. I am giving one star rating only because of their manipulating tendency to soft selling the items, please don't do it. ঘুরিয়ে ফিরিয়ে বিক্রি করা ভালো নয়, উপভোক্তারা...

Haven't tried Mitra Cafe before. So when I noticed a brand new one in front of me at Jessore Road near Airport, I could not resist myself. The ambience is dull. Feels like a banquet or conference hall. In no way comparable to the nostalgic Shobhabazar. But the food is delicious. My foodie wife guided me over phone - a prawn cutlet and a fish kabiraji. I tried both and immediately fell in love with both. The crunch of the coat and aroma of prawn is simply brilliant. Price is reasonable. The waiter is polite and knowledgable. Suggested me Mutton handi and naan for main course. I must have visited during off-peak hours (though at 9.10 pm), because number of waiters were more than the patrons. Only downside is that they couldn't provide coffee or tea without sugar. That's funny. They charged me 55 bucks for coffee, promising that it is without sugar, but...............😕
