Coffetea — Restaurant in Zone 8 Anna Nagar

Visiting this place was a mixed bag, with the food quality leaving much to be desired despite the cozy ambiance. Here’s what I tried,

Garlic Bread Cheese ~ Sadly, it lacked any real garlic flavor, making it fall short of expectations. 🧄 Filter Coffee ~ Just average, nothing memorable. ☕ Cappuccino ~ Again, pretty basic in taste, nothing that stands out. ☕ Americano ~ It tasted more like plain black coffee—not bad, but not great either. ☕ Mac and Cheese Chicken ~ Easily the best dish I tried here! Creamy, cheesy, and flavorful, it was the saving grace of the meal. 🧀🍗

Now, onto the disappointments,

Biscoff Brownie ~ This tasted more like a chocolate sponge cake with none of the indulgent Biscoff richness you’d expect. 🍫 Biscoff Cheesecake ~ Probably the worst cheesecake I’ve had—it wasn’t even a cheesecake! It tasted like whipped cream with a biscuit base. 😞 Szechuan French Fries ~ Just frozen fries topped with Szechuan chutney. A big letdown. 🍟

I recently visited Coffetea at Anna Nagar and here’s my honest take. The place has a really cozy and Instagram-worthy vibe — perfect to hang out with friends or even sit down with a laptop. Their menu is quite varied, from coffees and teas to shakes, buns, and desserts, which makes it interesting to try. Price-wise, it’s fairly reasonable compared to other cafes around.

That said, I did feel the taste is a bit inconsistent. Some items are really nice, while a few (like their cheesecakes and brownies) didn’t live up to the hype. Also, portion size versus cost could be better, especially for delivery. Sometimes even the menu availability is an issue, which can be a little disappointing.

Overall, it’s a decent spot if you’re looking for a casual hangout in Anna Nagar. Go for the vibe and variety, but don’t set expectations too high...

Today, we placed a takeaway order from CoffeeTea, Anna Nagar, which included the following items:

• 1 Paneer Tikka Sandwich • 1 Rainbow Cake • 2 Korean Buns .1 Triple chocolate mousse

To our surprise, the Paneer Tikka Sandwich turned out to be a Chicken Sandwich, which we only realized while eating. Thankfully, we do consume non-veg occasionally , just not today. But this could have been extremely distressing for someone who is a strict vegetarian.

This is a clear case of negligence and lack of attention to customer dietary preferences. Such mistakes are not minor , they reflect a lack of empathy and responsibility in food handling.

We sincerely hope the team takes this seriously and ensures proper checks are in place to prevent such mix-ups...
