Disappointing Experience at Writer’s Cafe – Misleading Listing & Poor Service
I visited Writer’s Cafe expecting a smooth dinner experience, as it was listed on the Easy Diner app. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. When I enquired about using Easy Diner, the response was abrupt and dismissive — "What dinner? We don’t entertain such apps." This attitude was off-putting. I then approached the person at the billing counter to reconfirm. He reiterated the same and added that they don’t accept any such apps. When I mentioned that the restaurant is listed on Google Maps and Easy Diner, he said it’s just for “preservation.” However, the app clearly did not show any reservation slots for Saturday and Sunday, which was odd and not clearly stated anywhere. I pointed out that Easy Diner also has a pay-on-walk-in option, but that too was denied without any proper explanation. I had to finally contact Easy Diner customer support to claim the offer via cashback. This experience felt misleading and unprofessional, especially for a reputed restaurant. That said, the security at the parking area was quite welcoming and supportive, which I truly appreciated.
Madras BBQ Chicken Pizza – Tasted good and enjoyable. Bang Bang Wings – Claimed to be a must-try, but fell short of expectations. Chicken Stroganoff with Rice – Just average. Fried Chicken Burger – Tasted good. Spaghetti Neapoli – Quite disappointing; resembled wet noodles more than pasta. Overall, the food had some hits and misses, but the poor communication and unwelcoming attitude overshadowed the experience. Hope the management clarifies their app tie-ups and improves their...

The cake was perfectly moist and had a rich, dark brown color that was simply inviting. Read moreFood: Madras BBQ Chicken pizza - One of their best thin crust pizzas loaded with cheese and chicken; a little bit of sweet dressing from the BBQ sauce & caramelized onions makes it freakingly good
Teriyaki chicken strips - Soft boneless chicken strips tossed in sweet sauce and seasoned with sesame; this tender wonder melts in the mouth from its buttery texture; predominantly sweet but that pan-asian flavour is worth it
Sloppy joe slider - What could have been a greasy affair turned out to be a miniature meal; 3 pieces of tiny burger with salad by the side; Nothing special
Thai Chin chicken - Yet another BL chicken tossed in nuts, soy sauce and chillies; goes pretty well as a side for any meal; a little more of chilli flakes would have been great; the oriental flavour was evident from the first bite
Pretty much all their desserts are good when fresh say, Red velvet cupcake, Lava cake and Brownie. Though not so sweet, they were fluffy, moist and gooey on the inside. Their wafery croissants were such a feast for the eyes with such layers and chocolate gently flowing out
Ambience/Price: Limited parking space makes it hard during peak hours; yet appreciable. They have got good seating space with so much space for their books. Great spot for book lovers. Their warm lighting makes it soothing while their decor is localized to suit the crowd. Service was good while the prices were a bit upsetting provided the quantity served. Q:P...
