Found this place on google. Thought it’ll be a nice place to spend Valentine’s day.
Well, turns out i had too high of an expectation. Look, i get it guys it’s a busy night. But you guys have 2 section, outdoor and indoor area. The only area that was packed was the outdoor. We ordered 3 dishes, waited for 50ish minutes and FINALLY our california roll came out. But we still have 2 more dishes, right? The only thing that went inside my stomach was the california roll which was good honestly and still water. Before the first dish came out, of course we asked where’s our order and it was already 40 minutes. The waiter had the audacity to ask me “okay, ready to order?” My dude, my gerd was already starting to be triggered and i was physically in pain because i waited SOOOO LONG for the food. Mind you we drove from canggu all the way to ubud and we were planning to have a great night. It’d be better if one of the waiter notify us beforehand that we’d have to wait for quite a long time, but no one had the curtesy to do it because they were very preoccupied with the other guests.
Anyway, we ended up cancelling rest of the meal. Thanks for the great night guys. Please fix the horrible...
Read moreI recently dined at Cookish in Ubud, and the experience was truly delightful. The food was an exquisite blend of flavors. I was happy to see such a verity of fresh fish and seafood. In Vancouver we are very spoilt with Japanese cuisine as we have fresh seafood and fish and many japanese immigrants open the restaurants. That is why I tried to avoid them during my visit in Bali. But I am so happy that my friends invited to Cookish and it was a great “See you again, Bali ” dinner. The fresh juices were a highlight, untainted by water and sugar. The ambient music, fire lights and plants created a magical atmosphere, complementing the quiet and private backyard. The stylish decor, including a moon on the washroom ceiling and a lucky dragon “Dulia” added a touch of elegance to the overall charm of Cookish.
A must-visit for a culinary and aesthetic treat. Do not forget to touch the dragon 🐉 to keep being lucking forever...
Read moreFood was very good but there is really a space to improve in a sense of service and attitude. We booked a table in advance at this restaurant and for us it was Christmas Eve. We were not informed that same time there would be a concert. So it was kinda hard to communicate because of loud music. At some point the concert organizer approached us and told us that we couldn't go to the concert or we had to buy tickets in a very rude manner(actually we didn't even plan to go to the concert). It's good that you didn't give us the earplugs so we don't listen to the concert for free... While trying to talk with the place owner on the matter it looked like the guy didn't care at all and his face was saying: "what do you want from me, get out of here if you don't like something". It was super mean! It's not the way to treat...
