Its been 2 years since I was here at a favourite haunt in Bali. Was even better than the last times i was here. I had the Pork Miso Ramen and yet again i Have to say its up there with the best Ive ever had outside Japan. Broth was so good. Pork was seasoned and cooked pefectly and not too fatty. Veggies were nice, Bamboo was also seasoned perfectly and very tasty. As for the crispy pork. I literally can not fault it. With the sambal it was such a delight. I had to order a second portion. Washed down with a number of Asahi. It was a good Thursday afternoon. Well done Puku. Cant wait to return. šš
Ok so I obviously haven't had every Ramen in Bali. However Ive been here for years and I do seek them out and as someone who lived on them in Japan for a while this is second best only to the one at Sensorium in Canggu in my humble opinion. An Excellent Tonkotsu indeed. Their other smoked meat dishes and Wonton are also very good but it's all about the Tonkotsu for me. Love that you cant get it takeaway too. All Very reasonably priced as well. Well...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered Tonkotsu Ramen with Premium Traditional Chasiu. It was delicious. I feel like they put a lot of effort into their noodles. About the pork broth, the only thing that makes me wonder is the aftertaste. It felt bitter to me, not sure if thatās make any sense to you. Personally, it doesnāt go well with the bok choy as well. Usually I always finish my ramen broth until the last drop, this time I didnāt do it. Iām really sorry. Maybe itās just my tongue, though. I will update this review if I ever visit this place again.
Other than that, they have great coffee, great view, great staff, and great rice paddy view. I was all alone during a lunch hour, a bit sad to see that. If you see their menu, you know they put a lot of effort in this business. Hope Puku team grows more and more.
I took shots of their menu pages, because I noticed Puku team didnāt update the menu in Google Maps. Hope thatās fine for everyone, just want to help someone whoās randomly choose place to go in Google...
