Response: Yes, we did place an order in February while we were in Bali. Had we remembered our previous experience, we certainly would not have ordered again. Secondly, your mention of a “goodwill refund” is completely false. We neither requested nor received any refund. If you claim otherwise, kindly provide proof.
There was a typo in our review – we did in fact order takeaway, not dine-in. However, this does not change the core issue: the food was still prepared by your establishment and resulted in food poisoning. We mentioned sashimi, but our actual order was a Salmon Roll and Tuna Roll – both of which contain raw salmon and tuna.
Whether dine-in or takeaway, the source of the problem remains your food.
Your manager did offer us Rp 200.000 in exchange for deleting the review, which we found unacceptable. We refused because we are not looking for money – we want to share our genuine experience so others can be informed.
We are Indonesian and fully aware of our rights. We are entitled to share truthful accounts of our experiences, especially when it concerns public health. A simple look through your reviews shows that several other guests have reported food poisoning as well. This is clearly not an isolated incident. Please don’t attempt to dismiss or discredit our feedback when there is a consistent pattern in your reviews.

We dined at Ji during our holiday, and our children had the raw sashimi. The very next day, both of them fell seriously ill with food poisoning — they were vomiting, had severe nausea, and suffered from loss of appetite for three days.
It completely derailed our holiday. We had to cancel activities and watch our kids feel miserable instead of enjoying what should have been a special family trip.
Afterward, we checked the reviews and saw that this isn’t an isolated case — there are multiple complaints about food poisoning at this restaurant. It’s clear that no meaningful changes are being made to improve food safety, especially when it comes to raw fish.
This was a very upsetting experience, and we would strongly caution families and tourists against dining here unless the restaurant takes real steps to improve...

Read moreWe went to Ji restaurant 30.12 - it was an extremely disappointing and underwhelming experience. Food was mediocre, service was astounding.
When we first walked into the restaurant, we were hastily greeted by the waitress? Manager? Adis - who have informed us there are no tables available even if we booked online. She was extremely dismissive and put us in a tiny dingy room with no aircon or ventilation. Didn’t explain anything with the menu and just chucked it at us on the table.
Our partners eventually went upstairs and quickly found that there were many tables available. It appears that all the Caucasian tourists were placed on the top floor, and all the Asian tourists were stuffed into the tiny dingy room. When one of our partner asked if we could sit in one of these empty tables, Adis said yes with no apologies or what so ever. She had sent another waitress downstairs to grab my friend and I and acted as if they were looking for a table for us - but in fact it was our partner that found it.
I am extremely disappointed at the service at Ji, as we were all looking forward to enjoy our meal there. Adis if you are reading this, you need to work on your costumer service attitude as it is absolutely appalling. For the cost, we expected better...
