I recently visited this restaurant with high expectations given its charming ambiance. And decent review. Unfortunately, my overall experience was quite disappointing due to the subpar service and the quality of the sushi rolls.
Ambiance: The restaurant boasts a beautiful and quaint setting that promises a pleasant dining experience. I quite liked it ! Sadly , that was all to like.
Food: Wakame Salad & Miso Soup: Both were good and met my expectations. Spicy Tuna Roll: This was the most disappointing sushi roll I've ever had. It contained barely any tuna and lacked any spiciness, forcing me to add my own spice- see pic attached - disgraceful!. Rainbow Roll: The roll was average and accompanying sauce overly sweet and, like the other rolls, was thick and heavy with rice, resulting in a cheap taste.
Service: Unfortunately, the service was subpar. It took over 20 minutes to receive my order, which consisted of just two rolls- there was only one other table there .
At the end when the waitress asked me how I liked it , I explained that that I couldn’t finish the rolls and why and then she proceeded to argue with me and told me this was the standard . She then moved to the back to discuss it loudly with her colleagues.
Given the overall experience, especially the quality of the rolls and the service, I won’t be...
Read moreWe were really disappointed with this place. We tried two different types of rolls, teriyaki beef, and the salmon poke bowl. Honestly, nothing had to do with real Japanese food. The salmon on the rolls was tiny, and there was some strange crispy ingredient inside that didn’t taste good at all. The teriyaki beef had no flavor whatsoever, and the only dish that was somewhat okay was the poke bowl.
What’s even more concerning is that they openly offer free rolls in exchange for 5-star reviews — they offered it to us too, but we refused. So please don’t trust the glowing Google reviews; they’re misleading.
On top of that, the hygiene really worried us. We got a glimpse of the kitchen, and it looked pretty dirty. We even saw the guy drop a spoon on the floor, pick it back up, and continue cooking without rinsing it. He just shook the meat on the pan and carried on.
Overall, not a good experience at all. Definitely not authentic, and hygiene standards are...
Read moreCome for quick dinner break and find this place super cozy. The place isn't really big and they only provide few small tables with long big table for group in the center. These are what we order : Jasmine tea : I order iced jasmine tea but unfortunately they run out of ice cube. Before that, I order kind of their smoothies but not available at that moment. Not a big fans of tea selection but it's good combined with hot ramen too Beef miso ramen : like the broth but not with the beef sliced. It's too thick that makes it hard to eat. But, the beef seasoning is delicious. Noodle isn't really chewy (for me) but still can be enjoyed for ramen craving Salmon mentai roll : such a good combination, they give a lot amount of crunchy crumble Avocado roll : not really sure about this dish name but it comes with cream cheese inside. I like it The service is good and makes us feeling like coming home. Thanks to Kak Diana for serving us...
