Warung Wareg — Restaurant in Bali

This warung is in a beautiful setting, away from the road, nice and quiet and definitely recommended. Mira served me and she was so lovely and attentive. I came here because they offer steak dinner in Ubud.

I usually find places to eat by searching for ‘gluten free’ in Google Maps and though Warung Wareg didn’t have any reviews for gluten free, Mira was so great at helping me choose a gluten free steak dinner. I ordered the surf and turf with garlic butter sauce, the portion of sides was great. Next time I might get a tenderloin or sirloin instead and add prawns because I could eat more meat 😄 and the price is great, super affordable steak dinner.

I would recommend Not ordering the Sonia crispy duck. (Signature dish) There was hardly any meat to it. There is a displayed 21% tax and service charge. I was Not informed that there would be a 3.95% charge for using a card. Generally if charged the employee would let you know there is a percentage charge. This payment was not done with me present. The 3.95 could of been an acceptance of currency payment in which I would have selected the local payment as to avoid the conversion they choose. Had a really good steak and tasty smoothie bowl! Super friendly staff and also a nice location a little bit away from the street. It is a little bit difficult to find as it is part of villa sonia, but outside guests are welcome as well, so don’t be shy to step on the hotel property you will not regret it!
