When we first arrive, there were long queues and we register ourselves on the waiting list where we had to wait for 10 other groups to be allowed entrance before us. While waiting, there are snack sellers outside comprising of but not limited to: telur gulung (rolled fried egg), kue ape (a traditional light cake), rujak (sliced fruits with or without nut chilli sauce), kue putu (a traditional steamed cake from dessicated coconut) and Durian flavored Ice Cream.

From outside the place was visibly packed with people. There are both indoor and outdoor tables but don't expect air conditioned room inside. There are plenty of vans and raised ceiling to keep the place bearable despite the amount of people inside.

Now for the food, we ordered an assorted platter of Se'i Lidah Sapi or Beef Tongue Se'i where you can pick 3 flavors of sambal along with it for Rp 170k. You can select among Sambal Hijau, Rica-Rica, Matah, Lu'at and Lada Hitam (Black Pepper). There are also Meat Se'i, Rib Se'i and Chicken Se'i. For original taste, chose the Sambal Lu'at because the sambal is served separately. Along with the Se'i order came sauteed papaya leaves and a bowl of broth. As for the Se'i itself, its savoury and smokey, most importantly its fall off the bone soft and easily chewed. The Sambal Matah is the most favorite flavor here. For the drink we ordered Iced Black Tea with Lemongrass. So refreshing with a kick of lemongrass flavor.

Some might complain about the long queue, but I think its quite...

When in not holiday season or weekend, this place really enjoyable as restaurant and hangout with friends and family. The seatings are in outside (smoking) and inside (non smoking) with only fan machine to blow cool air inside.

The highligted menu is varieties from traditional smoked beef or chicken with many sambal choices consist of Lu'at sambal (originated from Kupang Sei Sapi with sour spicy taste), Rica rica (hot spicy), matah (onion spicy oily sambal), sambal hijau (green pepper not too spicy but hot sambal), lada hitam (black pepper).

After you choose the sambal, the portion also needed to considered based on how many people. I ordered each for two people just the reguler portion. If you happen to have 4 people, it is best to order jumbo portion. And to complete the savory, the lemon grass tea is perfect combination after eating this dish. Oh you can also order based on weight of the beef to make easier to carry.

The price range is reasonable for beef and chicken menu. But still, the prices are cheaper than any Sei Sapi restaurant/menu in Bandung. The restaurant is located not so far from the main city, so people outside Bandung can enjoy directly to the restaurant near Gedung Satay.

I recommend this restaurant as one of alternatives way to enjoy authentic dish from Kupang, NTT which mostly similar taste from original and you can...

Avoid peak hours, no matter how good the food, a long queue is never worth your time nor your tummy. So, I always come here earlier.

The place is quite small compared to people who want to dine in. If you choose an indoor table, please watch your step. The floor near the entrance is a bit slippery, especially after the waiter mops them.

Personally I choose lidah with sambal matah, rica-rica, kecombrang or lu’at. I don't recommend sei ayam. I don't know, but it doesn’t feel right.

Food tastes the same every time I come here, but I saw massive improvement on the service. Staff were super helpful, bringing high-chair for my junior, ensuring my order was served and encouraging me to write a review here. So here I am. There was an “accident” when i paid my order at the cashier, my junior stayed in a high-chair. Suddenly, stand on the table and trip off. Nothing hurts, but my junior screams loudly. a staff went to my table ensuring everything was alright and apologising because my junior fell from the chair they provided. 100% sure that it wasn’t his fault but he kept apologising.

tl;dr food was great, payment by card done smoothly, staff were super helpful. I couldn’t ask for more. Will come...
