In the Grand Batam Mall Citra Pempek, some of the Male waiters were unpatient, simply one of my friends asked to Wipe the table , the place was very tight I understand so he came, he just stood looking at us with a bad face, then he told us to move in an impolite way in Bahasa Indonesia "mau dilap kan, geser dululah" , then we didn't really understand what to move but we did move a little , he went back talked with his friend "mau dilap tapi gak geser" then he went back to us with a more angry tone "geser mau dilapkan" , from what i know Excuse me = permisi and Move is just simply Geser, so his language is very Impolite and one of his friends even looked like he didn't want the job. Its like they're both not getting paid. Disgraceful act and I will never eat at the Grand...

Been visiting this restaurant frequently, the food is mostly good, nothing to complain here. I tried their pempek, lenggang, tekwan, nasi kuning, nasi goreng, nasi liwet, otak otak.

My momโ€™s fav is tekwan, itโ€™s like boiled pempek(literally fishball) served with soup.

My fav is their nasi kuning set and pempek kulit. Pempek kulit has more crunch than other.

Pempek bulat usually smells fishy, pempek kapal selam has boiled egg hiding inside. Lenggang is like omelette with pempek. And otak otak is like grilled fish cake.

They restaurant just get crowded at lunch or dinner time so be prepared to wait if you visit at those...

My gang wanted some supper, so we bought pempek (fried fish cakes) and mee goreng (stir fried noodles) as take away.

The fish cakes were really tasty! They are not the usual ones found in SG, where the proportion of fish is probably quite miserable. The ones here were really packed and stuffed real tight, and they were eaten with a great sauce thatโ€™s sweet and a tinge of spiciness.

The noodles were really great, but might be a bit salty for some people. Chili that came along was really delicious.

Would eat the same dishes at the shop next time, and maybe try their fried rice. But Iโ€™m happy with...

This restaurant offers a wide variety of menu options beyond just pempek, which is great. The pempek and its Cuko, adding to the overall dining experience. However, the service is average, and the Ayam Penyet is also just average in taste. One notable aspect is the affordability; the prices here are quite reasonable, making it a budget-friendly choice for those looking for tasty Indonesian dishes
