We were guests of Ando Hotel and we saw that the restaurant was offering 10% off for hotel guests so we decided to give it a try during our stay. Food was good but the waiter and waitress speaks limited English.
We told the waitress that we were staying at the hotel when ordering. However during payment at the cashiers the discount wasn’t apply and we didn’t notice.
After we left I checked the bill and realised that the 10% discount wasn’t given and I went back to the restaurant to ask for the refund. However the waiter told us that it’s not possible, reason was we didn’t flash the card to them, we already told them that we are hotel guest and our room card was also left on the table all the time. They didn’t ask for anything during payment which I think it should be the SOP!
We also check with the hotel reception and the receptionist push it back to the restaurant and say the same. And told us they will feedback to the management.

Boonsik Set is fun combination (tteokbokki + fritters + fish cake soup), but the snacks and soup were just okay—tteokbokki’s the highlight! The sauce and the tteok are pretty good as I would say in Batam. Pasta was surprisingly good! It was rich and creamy! Sadly, Bimbimbap lacked that bold Korean flavor but I think it has been modified to more closer Indonesian twist and I would say friendly to eat by lots of people! Lastly, the kimchi pancake was crispy and delicious, especially with the sauce.
Bonus: They have a great view! Would...
