Time of visit : June 2022 Meal : Dinner Menu : Chef's tasting set wagyu & chicken (2 person)
Food 8.5/10 ABC soup feels out of place with the other menu, the comfort food element is nice and all but it's also very fulfilling. The decision to keep the pasta dish before the main course is also quite odd. by the time we reach the actual main course we're already extremely full. Taste wise every menu are really tasty.
Very limited selection of beverages
Suggestions: A different menu set for small/medium eater which only contain 1 actual main course (instead of pasta + beef/scallops etc.).
Venue & ambiance 7.5/10 Not much to be said here. It's not a typical fine dining restaurant for sure but I can see the effort put into making it as comfortable as possible. Seating is good with enough space between tables. Everything is clean, tidy, and neat.
Service 7/10 We arrived early to the venue (40 minutes before reservation time). A lot of staff but mostly just standing in the dining room. Quite a bit of chatter and laughter from the staffs before and at the start of the dining. Staffs are polite and nice enough.
Suggestions: Explaination of each and every dish is not always necessary. Diner appreciation of the Chef's effort from the taste alone should be enough, no other proof should be needed. It just felt pretentious. especially with the memorized and rehearsed script.
But some might prefer the more snobbish experience. consider to print detailed explanation behind the menu card instead of oral explanation.
For couple's table staff should be trained to clear the table when both diner is finished with 1 menu in order to not interrupt their moment more than necessary (twice/menu change instead of once). It's okay for larger group table tho.
Value 10+++++/10. Best bang for your buck in town. Blowing the competition by a lot of miles. I was surprised of how cheap it is relative to the quality of the meal and overall experience. Chef's decision to not charge as much as she could should be appreciated.
I personally think they should charge a bit more. Because I would like for this place to stay open for a long...

Most of the food I have tried is great, review: Soup is okay (⭐️ 2.5/5), nothing special, just a bit salty for me and not flavorful or rich enough. I love the gnocchi and cheese fondue (⭐️ 5/5) always go to food here, crispy fried skin with soft insides gnocchi paired with melted cheese and with a touch of tasty rich gravy pairs well. The downside is that it get cold fast even in the hot pan! Remember to eat it while it's hot! Aglio olio with prawn is delicious (⭐️ 4.5/5) buttery garlicky and very tasty! I love how they seasoned the prawns, but it's a bit dry for me. But definitely order it! Salmon hmmm, would not really recommend it. Taste average (⭐️ 3/5) the beurre blanc sauce is a bit overpowering, so just take a tiny bit for the salmon. The salmon was well seasoned and cooked well; crispy skin and soft meat. The salad is the star I think, sweet and refreshing. Value of meal is a bit pricey for me for the portion. Grilled chicken taste good (⭐️ 3.5/5) cooked perfectly, the corn was cooked well too. Paired with the mango yoghurt sauce was good, but I think it was like just chicken curry with better presentation. Value of meal is too pricey for me for the portion of 1/4 chicken.
Atmosphere of restaurant ⭐️ 5/5; good music, nice ambience, nice room temperature, comfortable seats.
Service ⭐️ 4/5; i would say the staffs are really helpful and very nice all through my dinner. The only downside is that they put food on the table too fast, while I was eating appetizers, the main course was already pouring out, causing some the food to lose temperature (cold food). But overall great service, just need to improve on...
