I recently had the pleasure of trying out the newest rooftop bar in Jakarta with my husband and friends, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The interior of the place is both classy and classic, creating an elegant atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the fact that they offer both outdoor and indoor seating options, allowing guests to choose their preferred ambiance.

Now, let's talk about the beverages. Oh my, they were absolutely delightful! Each sip was a burst of flavors that left me craving for more. I have no doubt that their drink selection is top-notch.

When it comes to the food, I highly recommend trying their tapas selections. The tuna pizza, Tahu goreng, and pork tacos were simply mouthwatering. The combination of flavors and the attention to detail in each dish were truly remarkable.

I must also commend the staff, particularly a gentleman named Arbi. His service was exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was personalized and enjoyable. He took the time to suggest drinks and food options tailored to our preferences. What impressed me the most was his thoughtfulness towards my Indian friend. He made sure to inquire about any dietary restrictions, specifically regarding beef, and ensured that she had suitable options. This level of professionalism and attentiveness truly left a lasting impression on me.

World-class rooftop experience with a personal touch.

Artesian Bar, perched on the rooftop of The Langham SCBD, offers a luxurious yet inviting cocktail experience. The moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality that stayed consistent from start to finish.

Special shoutout to El, the bartender, who not only crafted incredible drinks but also took the time to share the philosophy and stories behind each cocktail—turning every sip into a deeper experience. The cocktails themselves are smooth, unique, and absolutely amazing, showcasing true mixology artistry.

On top of that, they offer complimentary refills of truffle popcorn and nuts, which elevate the experience even more. The outdoor seating area is also a highlight, offering a stunning view of the SCBD skyline—perfect for a relaxed evening above the city.

A few things to note:

It’s a bit disappointing that they no longer serve Indonesian food (only serve from Morimoto now), which used to be part of the menu. Some of the cocktails would pair wonderfully with traditional Indonesian snacks like fried sweet potato or tempeh chips.

There’s a minimum spend of 1 million IDR to sit at a table, which makes sense for groups, but for solo travelers, it means having to sit at the bar unless you're up for a splurge.

That said, the overall experience is exceptional. If you're looking for a rooftop bar that blends craftsmanship, ambience, and excellent service—Artesian Bar delivers...

Went here on July 5, 2025, with a group of friends for a reunion. Drinks were delicious but not as strong as I’d prefer. Staff were really sweet & friendly, and the music was just right. Everything was great until we paid the bill. Thankfully one of us caught right before we left that we were overcharged by Rp1,200,000 for a lot of items we didn’t order. They mistakenly input items ordered by the next table to our bill. It took the staff forever to figure out how to refund us (we paid by QRIS which doesn’t make voiding charges as easy as using a credit card), and in fact, they said the refund will take 14 business days because the finance will have to process it! That’s, to be honest, is too long to get refunded (I hope they read this & expedite the process). They didn’t offer us complementary anything for the trouble they have caused—for Langham, that’s just a pity. The whole error really killed the mood, which was too bad because we actually had a good time before that happened.
