Nasi Peda Pelangi SCBD — Restaurant in Jakarta

SCBD area is famous for its dining venues and most are upscale restaurants while Nasi Peda Pelangi is an alternate.

Tucked under Playground building (formerly known as Bengkel), this small eatery offers rice with various toppings, from salted fish and corn (peda), shredded chicken, inked squid, beef tounge in green chillies and some more.

I ordered take away salted fish and came with sunny side and sweet potato chips. I also ordered beef tounge which is surprisingly tender. All was tasty and cost less than Rp 60K, a real bargain in SCBD area.

There are several tables, outdoor seating only.

The only setback was the service at a very slow pace and I had to wait since they need to reheat rice and salted fish. All in all was almost an hour.

If coming for lunch, you'd better come early or late otherwise you'll stuck in a long queue.

Would I be back? Perhaps if I don't have to wait...

Visit here by planning since always fyp in my reels n tiktok. I met personally with kak Nadya ... Very friendly n kind. I came here with my daughter since she knew about cumi hitam but unfortunately the cumi hitam is sold out. The place is located exactly in a busy area of SCBD. When we came it was not too crowded and we got seats. The nasi peda was delicious and the chicken as well. We ordered menu sederhana n it came with a drink as well. The total for 2 people is 58k. Not expensive in the executive area. Good price for scbd staff. Next visit will try the lidah n cumi hitam for sure. Thank you for the good service kak Nadya....
