Harum Manis is a cozy and elegant restaurant that serves authentic Indonesian cuisine with a touch of sophistication. I liked the place for its attentive service, beautiful interior, and delicious food. The restaurant is located in Pavilion Apartment Retail Arcade, near the Intercontinental Hotel².
I ordered the Ikan Sakura, a grilled fish with sweet and sour sauce, and the Dendeng Lombok, a crispy beef with spicy chili. Both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. The portions were generous and the presentation was appealing. The fish was tender and moist, and the beef was crunchy and tender. The sauce was well-balanced and complemented the meat.
For dessert, I had the Es Cendol Durian, a shaved ice with coconut milk, palm sugar, green rice flour jelly, and durian. It was a refreshing and indulgent treat. The durian was creamy and fragrant, and the cendol was chewy and sweet. The coconut milk and palm sugar added richness and depth to the dessert.
I enjoyed my dining experience at Harum Manis and would recommend it to anyone who loves Indonesian food or wants to try something different. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes that cater to different preferences and dietary needs. The price is reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The ambiance is relaxing and inviting. The decor was contemporary and modern, with an emphasis on bright colors and clean lines. There were unique features such as a waterfall wall that added to the peaceful atmosphere.
Moving on to the menu, I must say I was impressed with the variety of dishes available. I started with the spring rolls that were presented with a side of dipping sauce. The spring rolls were crispy and filled with a flavorful mix of vegetables. For my main course, I tried the grilled chicken with vegetables. The chicken was cooked to perfection, tender, and juicy. The vegetables were also fresh and delicious, making a great addition to the dish.
