Last time I came here was January 2020. Me and my husband thought we have found our hidden gem for cocktails in Jakarta and planned on becoming regulars here. Little did we know that 2 months later, the pandemic happened and we forgot about this place.
2 years later, today, we were back here. We wanted to have the cocktails we had back then but unfortunately only the classic negroni was available. Turned out the barista we had met back then had resigned. Nevertheless the cocktails was superb and the food was great too. Went home a happy customer.
Stuff I ordered here french toast: 8/10 it's great although I think the price is a bit too high compared to the portion other dishes you have here. Might be better to use a thicker brioche or add the fruit to add the dish value chicken parmigiano: 9/10 marinara and mozzarella tasted great. One thing that would make it perfect for me is additional chilli flakes on the side to give it a bit of a kick nachos: 10/10 perfect for sife dish to eat while drinking the kura kura beer or the cocktail. Crunchy, tangy, spicy, sweet, and salty š kura kura beer: 8/10 it would have been better if a bit cooler since Jakarta is hot. Other than that it taste great since it's not too bitter and light classic negroni: 8/10 if looks could fool, this is a really strong cocktail. It was Gin based, strong and bittersweet. I suggest providing extra salt to reduce the bitterness or you can order their nachos. For me it's the perfect combo kahlua tiramisu: had a bit because I was too full, but it was okay. The alcohol ones are in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn terms of ambiance, atmosphere and interior this place wins big time, during night time it almost feels more like a bar rather than a coffee place, a bit confusing actually since all the staffs were in casual uniform wearing the typical barista apron
The coffee was not to my liking, again it depends on how you like your coffee, i like my latte creamy and sweet (with no sugar involved) and theirs were lighter than my actual preference, again.. depends.
The manual brew though, were great. Tried their colombia and sumatra mandheling, ended up buying several bags of roasted bean to be taken home, both were splendid
Tried the es kopi susu gula malaka something as well, it was just ok, also tried one of their cake, forgot the name and canāt took any pic since it was oh so dark inside, but it has this caramelized honeycomb and bittersweet taste which has succesfully made my tummy happy, will come back for that!
Staffs were helpful and informative, toilets were clean....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTwo years ago I gave this place 5 stars. Unfortunately it has changed. Staff are not professional anymore. Need more training. We received our meal and within 10 minutes but still 30 minutes before closing we are asked for our last order. Fair enough I understand. We donāt want to order any more. But to then immediately hand us the bill while we are in the middle of our meal with still 30 minutes before closing. Canāt you wait another 5-10 minutes for us to finish our meal before disturbing us in the middle of our meal to pay the bill? Itās simple things like this that separate your restaurant from regular restaurants and make it worth the price of the food. I am also a restaurant owner and only hope that this owner gets this message so his/her staff can get better training. Unfortunately we...
