KITA Bar — Restaurant in Jakarta

Not sure if the F and B management cares but for sure they should. View is great and service is truly trying their best to compensate for the shortcomings. First we arrived to the sound of the drill machines and in the middle of an event set up. The minimum in a 5 star hotel is to Set up pipe and drape to hide the work in progress. Then we arrived in a totally empty space (no wonder) and were seated at a very nice table, providing of course you were not checking underneath to see the broken cables. Drinks are ok, but the worst is the food. If you want to offer a bar menu, make sure it is a least a little better than the warung downstairs. I love street food but unless it is clearly announced as the theme of the place, it does not go well with a 5 star rooftop bar. The shrimp popcorn were greasy and did not have enough sauce, the sate platter was low quality overcooked meat, we could not even finish it. They serve you sosis from a supermarket, dry tuna and when it comes to the chicken it taste like a bad sate Taichan (only skin). The music was over 100bpm in an empty space…. Why not trying to choose something that fits the vibe rather than playing a generic playlist. I am sure that this bar is not generating any revenue and this is why it might not be a priority but for those who like the brand, would be nice to be considerate to what has been done elsewhere. And last, do you really thing that offering a shot of Gilbeys Tequila is on par with the brand? If your beverage cost has no room for generosity, better to avoid something that taste so cheap. Truly disappointing indeed while there is everything to make this place a destination...

I recently visited Kita Bar (Hyatt Hotel Jakarta) on 1 November 2025 for the Halloween Event organised by Jarana.ID, and I was extremely disappointed by how unprofessional and unfair the event was managed.

As someone who travelled from Melbourne, Australia, for work, I attended the event with my colleagues expecting a fun and well organised night. However, the costume competition turned out to be biased and unethical. The MC asked all participants to gather on the dance floor around midnight, but when the winners were announced, two of the main titles, Most Stunning and Most Creative went to people who never even joined the competition area.

To make matters worse, the Most Stunning winner appeared only after the announcement and, upon checking later, was found to be working for the organiser Jarana.ID. This is a clear conflict of interest and gives the impression that the results were pre-decided rather than fairly judged.

It’s disappointing to see such behaviour taking place at a respected venue like Hyatt. Even small acts of corruption and favouritism damage public trust and the reputation of both Kita Bar and the Hyatt brand. Guests pay and participate in good faith, fairness should always come first.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, reviews their partnership with Jarana.ID, and ensures independent, transparent judging in future events. Until then, I would not recommend attending any events hosted by...

Absolutely phenomenal rooftop bar right in the heart of Jakarta. Located on top of the Park Hyatt, KITA bar delivers everything you could ask for in a top class rooftop space. The views are spectacular, the Japanese inspired cocktails are on point (especially the gin based ones)and their presentation immaculate, the service is excellent and the vibe is just incredible. We were lucky enough to make it in time for sunset and the spectacle was quite a sight to behold. Views got even better as sunset turned to dusk and brought with it the shimmering lights of the surrounding skyscrapers.

I can't think of a better place in Jakarta to spend and evening with friends or family, enjoying the sunset and just soaking in the experience of KITA bar. Another special mention for the hardworking staff and their wonderful service which makes an already fantastic setup...
