Lanzhou Lamian Glodok — Restaurant in Jakarta

A very bad experience. I visited this place on Monday (a weekday) hoping to enjoy a comfortable and quiet meal. But it turned out to be not as good as I had imagined. If you have the patience to wait, you can come. The noodles are quite delicious, but the other dishes don't seem to be cooked seriously. I didn't receive a single word of “sorry” when my order was missed or the chicken was undercooked. They responded in a rather rude manner... The prices aren't cheap, and with service like this, it's not worth it.

(1) The waiter couldn't explain the dishes. When asked about the difference between two types of vegetable dishes, the answer was, “Because they're different.” (????)

(2) I ordered stir fry lamian, but after waiting 45 minutes, I saw other customers who had just arrived already being served their food. When I asked where my noodle were, they said, “Oh, your noodle will be served with your grilled chicken.” (How is that possible??? The chicken is grilled in front of the restaurant and the noodles are cooked in the kitchen, what is the reason for this?)... Anyway, I got my noodles after waiting an hour on a weekday.

(3) The grilled chicken didn't arrive after 1.5 hours oh my god... and again they said it was because the chicken took longer to grill. Once again, the chicken was undercooked (there was still blood on the plate), and it tasted very bland. For 40k, it was a waste of money. The chicken pieces...

Nirou Lamian 4,5/5 Warna kuahnya clear tapi rich bgt, aroma rempah-rempahnya lumayan kuat di salah satu rasa ini tp kemungkinan antara kayu manis & cengkih, rasanya mirip pho, tp ini aromanya lebih ke sweet notes, bukan berarti manis ya, ini tetep gurih dan rich, sangat berkaldu sapi, tp gk bikin kamu eneg dan gak amis, dan most important kuahnya gk berminyak, jd sangat comforting kalo lagi hujan-hujan makan ini, porsinya mayan banyak jd kyknya kalo dateng sendiri makan ini bakal kenyang banget, kalo lamian kadang-kadang benyek kalo kelamaan direndem kuah, nah kalo ini tetap kenyal dan tekstur mienya gak cepat menyerap kuahnya, jd pas dikunyah masih ada teksturnya.

Chicken wings skewers 3,5/5 Ini sayap ayam bakar, kalo anak kecil kayakanya bakal suka ini, dia gurih, berempah, dan gak pedas, kalo aku deskripsiin makanan northwest ini, dr rempahnya, perpaduan antara makanan timur-tengah/asia tengah/china, smokeynya dapet, aku gak tau ini dibumbuin apa jd gk bisa deskripsiin secara jelas.

Pangsit rebus 5/5 Wah gila sih, ini paling juara, sempat skeptis pas dateng kulitnya kayak tebel banget dan terlihat chewy bgt, tapi nggak sama sekali! Kalo mnrt aku kulit pangsitnya sptnya bikin sendiri karena gk semuanya evenly shaped, perpaduan antara kulit pangsit, dan dagingnya beuhhh, sptnya mix antara beef & ayam, dicampur bawang putih, daun bawang, sm rempah dan bumbu lainnya, dan krn daging tsb punya lemak sendiri, pas masih panas agak sedikit berkuah di dalam pangsitnya, dicocol pake chili oil sama black vinegar, OMG enak BANGET, chili oilnya sptnya mereka sengaja bikin gk terlalu gurih biar matching sama semua makanan yg disedian, dan chili oilnya aku kira bakal bikin lidah kebakaran, dan ternyata enggak kok, aku sendiri gak tahan pedes tapi msh bisa nyemplungin pangsitnya ke chili oilnya 🔥

Aku suka mie sama pangsitnya, btw suami aku orang Swedia, di suka banget sama makanannya, awalnya agak harap-harap cemas bakal gk doyan, ternyata doyan banget!!! Kita sampe nambah seporsi buat pangsitnya hehehe, suami aku ngabisin chicken wingsnya jg, dan kita berakhir di food coma dan ngantuk di kursi restoran krn kekenyangan 🥲😅

Overall kalo mau ngerasain Glodok tp gak mau kekenyangan cobain pangsitnya, krn mnrt kami berdua pangsitnya aja udah worth it sih, tp kalo mau ajak keluarga aku saranin pesen mie, pangsit, dan menu lainnya, aku ngelihat piring orang lain yg pesen macem macem dan sptnya bakal balik lagi tapi pesen menu lain,

Untuk harga 50k keatas tapi...

I love Lanzhou Lamian. I’d buy it every time I see a Lamian restaurant. I had high expectations for this one since it’s kinda popular on TikTok, but unfortunately, it’s just okay. The service was a bit slow, and the portion size felt smaller compared to what I usually get at other places. The beef slices were too thin, and the chili oil added nothing but greasiness.

And the server said, “Ice tea’s gonna take a while, wanna change it to mineral water instead?”

I mean, it’s just iced tea — how long could it take?

That said, the place is clean, I love the overall vibe, and beyond what I mentioned, the broth actually tastes good and clean. If you’re strolling around the Glodok area, give it a try, but don’t set your...
