Midori Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Jakarta

Heard of this restaurant for a long time, but this is my first try. 2 pax come for lunch, both are famished as it was 12.45 noon. We ordered a gyutan set, a chirashi bowl, a deep fried salmon skin, and a medium ramen. The portion is small, taste are good, presentation are neat & lovely. The salmon & tuna on the chirashi bowl are superb, soft & not fishy at all. For the gyutan set, gyutan are so scarce, miso in the set is especially good, soup are a bit thicker but blended very well. The salmon skin is also fresh, only a bit bland for my taste, I need to add soyu & sichimi. Ramen is light & ok, the noodle type was not to my liking though. My hot Ocha is fine & fragrant. The coffee is fragrant & kicking.

The atmosphere, can’t help to feel like in the basement though. Over all, I had quite a good & leisure...

A new branch of Midori in Barito area! It wasn't as apparent from the road, as they are located at the basement of Visi Tutor. I guess it's a more compact Midori branch without Bersih Sehat Massage Parlour alongside (as most of Midori restaurants are).

The restaurant has less menu options compared to other bigger Midori branches, however they also serve Midori Coffee with selections of coffee and pastries. I had bubblegum cream soda and it was refreshing! The number of customer wasn't that many - I took these pictures during fast-breaking time and unlike other restaurants, there are still plenty of vacant tables around!

As the place is small, their parking lot only fits...
