Samwon Garden - Lotte Mall — Restaurant in Jakarta

For an well-know and famous enough 5-star hotel like Grand Hyatt, I usually would not choose to visit again since we have it in Taiwan and I've visited once at least. But, while my stay in Jakarta, I've tried several 5-start hotel breakfast buffet, it turned out to be not that as expecting. I wondered myself whether I am pursuing things too much and expect too much. Therefore, on my last day in Jakarta, the last breakfast, in this Sunday car-free Jakarta (I really don't know that after I've been canceled many of my Grab ride), I choose this Grand Hyatt Jakarta for my last breakfast buffet exploration. It is as good as what I've expected and to quality it outstood from those I've visited in this trip. In conclusion, maybe this is an old name but the service and food quality is still on top of all. we came and ordered some food, and we were not served drinks at all, after we ask for drinks the waiter kept pointing for an expensive tea and stuff, only after repeatedly asking for the “free”’one that he finally obliged and nod that yes they do serve the complimentary one.

after we finish our meal and want to take away the leftover, the staff asked for an extra Rp.6500 takeaway charge, which we thought at first was sone special recyclable takeaway box, they only gave the cheap plastic that everyone uses,

will never come back with this kinda service, after spending 1 million for a meal and they ask Rp.6500 to pack...

food is ok. service is average. the samwon galbi is acceptable but the pork belly is just too thick cut. 2 waitresses were using the next table to cook the meat for other tables and didn’t turn on the vents suction and caused so much smoke blowing to our table. We asked them why they didn’t turnnon the vents, they said it is broken and not working. We then said why don’t you use the other empty table ones that are working, they both looked at us and like “oh ya why didn’t we think of that” look.
