Soto Madura Pak Hadi Surabaya — Restaurant in Jakarta

Soto Madura is one of the best Soto in Indonesia. Its beef Soto. Usually they put many beef innard rather than meat. But since i came too early (right after they are open), and u was their first customer that day, the innard is not ready yet. For me it’s okay since i don’t eat an offal food.

Place : located in the pintu air street, in front of Aming Coffee. Usually it will be crwoded during lunch time. Many parking available.

Ambient : the place is small, very limited table. I bet it will be hot on a daylight.

Food : the soup is super tasty. Not too intense but is super tasty. The beef is not too tender, too bad. Maybe because i came too early, so the beef is not perfectly cooked yet.

Price : a bit pricy for compare to it place and tasty. For you who has different opinion, please comment.

Overall, I like the soto, and worth to try. Maybe next time I’ll be back, but on...

One of, if not THE, best soto madura in Jakarta... I have eaten here since my childhood in the eighties, when the famous Pak Hadi was still holding the helm. Now it is managed by the third generation and it is still really good. (well to be honest it was better when Pak Hadi was still alive... but seriously it is still that good...) There is basically only two options here: whole meat or mixed meat and innards (lungs, sweetbreads, intestines etc). You also have the option of rice mixed in the soup or on a plate of its own. The taste is soooo good... savoury and meaty with some fats floatin around... Go for seconds because I know that one bowl is never enough. Trust me... You won't regret this...

Makan disini karena mama saya katanya ingin nostalgia makan soto Pak Hadi, mama saya sudah tua, menurut mama saya soto ini paling enak di di sekitaran Pasar Baru, padahal menurut saya pribadi ada yang lebih enak di Jalan Juanda yang ada Patung Ayamnya, yang sering makan tau lah pastinya 😁

Masuk tempatnya tidak terlalu besar, deretan bangku kayu panjang ala kaki lima menghiasi ruangan untuk tempat duduk yang mau makan, menunya bisa pilih soto campur / soto pisah maksudnya nasinya dipisah atau di campur dengan kuahnya.

Selain soto ada juga paruh goreng, nah paruh nih saya suka banget, gurih wangi kenyal gak kering, saya ga suka kalau terlalu kering.

Untuk sotonya sendiri, saya baru pertama makan disini, dan saya gak tahu apakah memang taste nya hambar dan kita harus racik sendiri bumbu garam dan penyedapnya atau gimana? Tapi saya lihat mama saya juga tidak ada menambahkan garam, jadi ya mungkin abangnya lupa menambahkan garam atau penyedap nya 🤣

Kalau buat saya pribadi, untuk rasa biasa saja, lebih oke ya si patung ayam 🐔, itu sih menurut saya ya, wkwkwk
