Sushi Hiro — Restaurant in Jakarta

Food is great ! some service staff is kinda questionable.

I came to eat on a friday evening around 8:45 pm, and the staff escorted me to my table and asked if I wanted to order any drinks first before ordering, i ordered hot ocha. After another 5 minutes i called another waitress, lets call her waitress A, to order my tendon and she asked me if I wanted any drinks, i said I had ordered it before with another waitress. Another couple minutes later the ocha never came so I asked the waitress A to order it again for me, only then it came out couple minutes later.

Tendon was good, i asked for the sauce to another waiter that was around. I waited 5 minutes, no sauce, then i saw him preparing to go home and say goodbye to his staff friends??? 😭😭😭 I called the waitress A again for the sauce and it came out a couple minutes later.

Idk you might want to give that waitress A a raise. Other staffs are not attentive too, didn't really offer a refill for a long while not until someone called and they just like 'yeah might as well offer other table'

Also the last one is a bit nitpicky but i know it's almost 9 pm and some staff are preparing to go home but please do not casually slack off in the open service area, also it's weekend... like 8:45 is still a fully service hours.

One of many Japanese Restaurants in Jakarta, but Sushi Hiro is my most favourite one, I come here 1-2 times every week!💕 The restaurant is spacious, but it's pretty crowded when peak hour. Despite that, Sushi Hiro is still implementing COVID-19 preventive health protocol in the area which is good for me to feel more safe. My favourite food here is Salmon Chirashi, it's a big bowl of rice with salmon filleton top and tamago (egg), nori (seaweed), kappa (cucumber), tobiko (flying fish roe) as the topping, very simple, delicious, and palatable with a unique flavour. The waiters and waitresses are very nice and welcoming. The food serving usually takes about 10-15 mins. I had a problem with one or two particular dishes at my recent visit, but the restaurant management handles it beautifully. Overall, it's a nice place to enjoy Japanese food here.

What I ordered: Chukka Idako: I like, different taste and texture. Tuna spicy something: I like, I think it’s very fresh. Something soup with soba: I also like. Chicken satay or something: delicious Gyoza something: also delicious Sweet fried potatoes: new to me, I like but wouldn’t eat too much Salmon something: was okay Mix something; salmon and other fishes: I like this very much but apparently I can not eat too much salmon Sushi rolls: also taste good.

Staff services quite ok, they smiled and doing their job quite ok.
