Homaya — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

We visited this place three or four times. In general, it is quite, accurate, traditional. But in details: there are a lot of waiters, and it is not so crowded, but they are slow, when you come and ask water, it may take 15 minutes to bring it to you. You may specially request to make the selected dish SPICY, but finally it will be mild, not hot spicy at all. I would recommend them to make menu with photos, because it is difficult to understand by the name and description, how it will look like. Ordered the grilled eggplant app, and grilled fish in banana leaf. The eggplant came out half cooked. You can’t screw up grilled eggplant unless you don’t cook it all the way through. The grilled fish was not grilled — it, too, was disgusting. Looked like canned fish that was preformed and cooked. Sent it back, and ordered the tofu curry which was had zero flavor and spice.

This is the only place in Bali where I asked for Sambol Olek and was instead given ketchup.

Our experience started off reasonably nice, however didn't quite end up the way we thought. The server was friendly, service was good, food nice but sadly when the next table starting smoking, it put a horrible taste in our mouth, LITERALLY. We had a open discussion regarding this and suggested that they consider putting smokers in a designated area away from non smokers. It totally rui n ed our experience. We were looking forward to having dessert, but unfortunately decided to miss this due to the fact that smoking in public places is not against law...
