Visited this restaurant for dinner. The vibe is very nice, and the setting is by the beach, so there no issues there.
We arrived five minutes before our reservation time, so we were there in good time.
Once we settled in, we were quick to put in our order as our kids were with us, and they were quite hungry to begin with.
It took an hour and ten minutes for our food to arrive, and what made it even worse was that, apart from one dish, the food was stone cold.
Thought our waiting time we kept asking where our food was, and the staff kept saying it would be there in a minute. Well, it clearly did not take minutes and took over an hour.
When we complained, the first waiter was at a loss for words, so they sent a manager to the table.
After repeating my story again, they then sent another manager (not sure how many managers they have here).
I refused to repeat my story again but this manager said he was clear on the details and after checking the records, he saw that the first set of dishes were sent 15 minutes after ordering, followed 45 minutes later by the rest.
I chose to correct him by advising that the dishes did not come in parts and that they all came at once over an hour later.
At this point he said he would double check that fact with the staff again, to which I asked if he was implying if I was a liar and to which he responded saying, "Not sure yet."
Quite a rude response, and upon checking with his staff again, yes the rudeness was unreal, he came back and realised that I was not a liar.
I am not sure what school of management the staff and the multiple managers here went to but this was the worst way to handle such a situation.
It is a shame that they choose to treat customers in this way.
As far as the food was concerned, putting aside the fact that it was cold, it actually was very basic food with no flavour.

We specifically selected this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. My husband had booked online and made note of this special occasion. When we arrived our table by the water had been given away so we were placed at another location. From the moment we got there we received a negative attitude and unfriendliness from the staff.
It only goes downhill from here. When ordering the waitress tried to talk my husband out of ordering pizza as apparently it was going to take too long. We got to 50 mins in and no food has been delivered. Two pizzas arrived. Then had to ask as a further 10 mins passed and two microwave lasagnas arrived and by the time we finished eating our pasta still hadn't arrived. This was an hour and a half after being seated. Our children were starving and over waiting by the time any food had appeared. Food was average by any standard. Not worth the wait.
The whole restaurant was so unorganised and no one seemed to know what was going on. Staff had no interest in providing good service and it seemed like we were a nuisance at any request. Absolutely no hospitality was shown until it was too late.
We are thoroughly disappointed on what should have been a celebratory night and our last night in Bali.
I will acknowledge that after speaking to management we were not charged for some of the meal however the experience had already been ruined in our eyes. We did not wish to stay for the complimentary desert which was only offered after drawing to attention the flaws in our dining experience. We were just ready to leave.

Read moreWe were looking forward to enjoying a family dinner at Tamarind, given we have been before at our previous trip to Bali. We have reserved a table for 3 adults and 2 kids. We arrived on time for our 7:45pm reservation and noticed that the restaurant was busy but not too busy as there were several empty tables.
We placed our order around 7:55pm. Around 8:30, we checked on the kids food. We were told to "wait a moment". At 8:45 we asked again, to be told once again to "wait a moment", we then shared our frustration that the kids have started to complain as it was getting too close to their bedtime and yet no food was served except for a basket of complimentary bread. By the time it was 9:10pm I got up and demanded the food be served or we will leave. The food finally arrived together, neverthless. However, VERY COLD. Not even warm, cold. Like it's been sitting for over 30 minutes.
We couldn't believe the audacity of the assistant manager Donna, who came to question us, saying, the food was cold because the restaurant is busy and because it had to be served in intervals. We asked what intervals? Our order, the full table order was served together. He said I don't think so, let me check. We asked so are we lying, he replied " NOT YET". We were shocked.
He came back embarrassed of course as he realised we have been telling the truth obviously but to question your customers when you clearly ruined their evening on vacation and have seen that two of the plates went back untouched shows how they lack customer care of all sorts. On top of that, we had to repeat the same story to three other employees who's response was the restaurant is busy.
