With So many superb reviews of great food & service, and walking distance from our hotel, it was a no-brainier for us to try Bobs bar & grill. We went 2 days ago, no photos Since those already posted are a true representation. No free tables but more than happy to wait & very pleased we going to be served! The staff were great - very welcoming and attentive. We didn't mind how long it took. We ordered seafood cream soup plus the, now famous, Naughty Ribs and Beef tenderloin. After 30 minutes we got an apology & offered another beer & cocktail on the house for the wait. A lovely gesture and was told the food "was being cooked as quickly as possible". A further 35 minutes later I asked why I couldn't have the soup. It arrived very soon after & was excellent - delicious, hot, lots of small diced tasty fish with a slice of garlic bread.
When the ribs arrived, I accidentally put my thumb in the sauce & it was barely warm. Tasting small pieces from various places on the whole rack, all was the same, including the veg. NOTHING was hot. I told the waitress who apologised profusely and took it away to be heated (re-heated?) The beef arrived while mine was away and .......... again, barely warm - everywhere. My wife's exact wards were "cold inside". We quickly ate a couple of HOT chips before sending it back. Ribs returned - no different. Didn't eat it. Beef returned - no different. Wasn't eaten. Felt sorry for the poor waitress who offered us other food, more drinks & profuse apologies. A waiter offered a feeble explanation that it cooled on it way from the kitchen, which was only several metres away & you can see the cooks behind the glass; and that we were in a particularly breezy spot. Dear oh dear.
So having been told told the food was being cooked, it clearly wasn't - at least not then. Taking both meals back to be re-heated. Well, if it was, we couldn't tell the difference. I placed the whole palm of my hand on the rack of ribs, covered in sauce, to demonstrate how un-hot it was. The meat was probably cooked, just not recently.
The concierge of our hotel (La Laguna) asked returning guests how their evening went and where they had eaten etc.. We recounted the excellent service but grim food (not the soup) at Bobs.

Read moreWe’ve been in Nusa dua for a week now and we’ve tried a few different restaurants close to the Nusa Dua Beach Resort. Mr Bob Bar & Grill out performs in every department. On arrival we’re taken to our seats, we were presented with a cold towel for our necks, hand sanitizer and Mozi spray! We were given a free serving of prawn crackers and amazing dipping sauce. Then came the garlic bread. Garlic bread is garlic bread right? No Mr Bob grills his on the open fire. So crispy and tasty.
The highlight - The 600g Naughty ribs are the best I have tasted. The ribs are presented perfectly with your choice of fries, salad and veg. So tender they fall off the bone, They are world class! If anyone has been to Tony Romas in Perth, Mr Bob Bar is 100x better. It’s clean and there is good vibe about the place.
The staff are polite, well presented and the service times are amazing. Considering COVID has had a major impact on the majority of businesses, these guys were top performers. I would highly recommend them.

They brought us complimentary chips and dip afterward. 🌟 Food! We ordered the Burger and pork ribs with honey and sweet and sour marinade. The burger itself is not bad but the bun was cold, if it was warm it would have been a different impression and flavor naturally. The meat 🥩 , the sauce is very good. The ribs were delicious.
