As a Georgian culinary connoisseur, I was so excited to find a Georgian restaurant on Bali / Indonesia.
The food was tasteful and almost like you are dining in Tbilisi. We had the Mingrelian Khachapuri, Khinkali, and Mtsvadi with the chardonnay.
We switched tables after sitting in the full blowing air conditioning. In the beginning, the music was loud, bad covers, and please just buy the premium music streaming. It did not help the dining experience hearing every 10 mins or so about if you buy the premium feature, no commercials, etc.
However, the food and our friendly server were good enough to distract us from the music.
I would suggest light up every table to make it look nice. Also, if there would be a Georgian wine selection... that would take this restaurant to the next level. The server told us about Indonesian customs that import is hard.
Maybe this is part of the Georgian experience. But having 7 people look at you at all times because it is quite for the moment. Does not help feeling comfortable at the start.
The manager seemed nice to her staff. The restaurant is being runned by non-Georgians. But the chef (Russian) knows...
Read moreI would like to thank the restaurant owners, everything is done with soul and love for food, business, people. A great place to get acquainted with Georgian cuisine and have a delicious time. Interior: attractive green color, soft and comfortable sofas, comfortable chairs. Clean, comfortable toilet. Staff: attentive, in neat uniform. Kitchen: my applause to the Chef of the restaurant. Be sure to order khinkali - thin dough, tasty broth and lots of meat. Try lobio and lyulya - it's very tasty and filling. The best lamb in Bali. Do not deny yourself the pleasure of eating a signature salad and in no case leave without eating khachapuri with lots of cheese. There are different wines, but there is also Chinese tea - we drank Jasmine tea - pleasant and rich. A pleasant weighty bonus in the form of a compliment for guests - bruschetta with signature pate. Hookah: a variety of tobaccos and flavors for any desire. There are signature ones. They do it well, change the coals on time. Bottom line: we visited the restaurant three times, and each time we were full and happy. Friendly staff, cleanliness and delicious food - a great addition to a...
Read moreBorscht. One of the best things I have ever tasted. I’m very critical of food. 100 per cent a food snob. This is one of the yummiest things I have ever eaten. I have had borscht once before and wasn’t a fan at all, so it’s not a food I eat often. My grandmother is Ukrainian but grew up in the Caucasus mountains in Georgia so when I saw a Georgian restaurant I thought I’d give it a go. This is the only reason I decided to try borscht again. Absolutely amazing!! Best thing I’ve had in Bali and I’ve literally travelled around tasting food. This is the only review I’ve written. I wish I could take this home to Australia, to my granny’s old person home and feed it to her. It would bring her so much joy and I bet a tonne of childhood memories. Well done to the owner and chief. Also the staff were incredibly nice and catered to my needs. Very kind and chatting nicely. Don’t miss this restaurant. Get the...
