Outstanding service by Eka and her team. I was remembered by Eka from a previous visit and welcomed with a warm smile and recognition.
I enjoyed the Sardinia hamburger which was out of this world! It was savory, moist and cooked to the perfect temperture. (You could tell it just came off the grill; it was gorgeous.) The bun was warm, soft, light - it was the perfect hamburger bun. Sounds excessive I'm sure but, I'm not hesitant to say it's the best bun I've ever had on a hamburger. (It's "lightness" was closer to that of a freshly baked croissant.) Excellent work!
I had the fries as the side and continued to be impressed.
(It's difficult to execute on French fries. There's an extremely short "half-life" on French fries. They will turn from a golden, crispy bite of a salty heaven to a cold mill stone on your taste buds.)
Cafe Sardinia French fries arrived hot ( but not too hot), crispy, just the right amount of salt - and not too crispy. These fries neither sat after being pulled from being cooked, nor cooked too long waiting to be served. They were also light and delicious!
Classic Mojito. Presentation:
Glass: It arrived and was a vision of beauty. Perfectly sized glass that was likely chilled (very least it was NOT fresh out of the wash) it was cold to the touch and had already frosted on it's body! (It had NOT begun to sweat. This tells you more about the restaurant than you can imagine.)
Garnish: The Classic is mint based and arrived with a fresh, gracious sprig full of turgor. Don't waste it, taste it! It was meant to be enjoyed as a palette refresher and in the best restaurants will still serve this duty. Accompanying the mint on this cold glass is a perfectly sized and sliced lime that challenges the mint in it's turgor.
Ice: An easily overlooked component that will sink the best endeavor. Cafe Sardinia wisely utilizes a combination of small pellet and hollow cylinder ice. The latter is best for the bottom of the glass to establish and maintain temperture for the duration of the drink and the pellet ice delivers a shorter-lived, colder immediate encounter for the mouth-feel of the beverage to be enjoyed. It's a minor detail that makes an oversized difference. Cafe Sardinia knows this and it shows here. Well done!!
Beverage: Achieving a balance between the tartness of a lime, refreshing crispness of mint, sweetness of true sugar, and bubbly zest of carbonated water is not an easy task. You can't just throw all of that together and expect it to equilibrate to something enjoyable; that would be naive. The real recipe of a drink involves an order of ingredients, timing and intention. The individual responsible for the drinks at Cafe Sardinia has ensured the Classic Mojito is prepared with perfection for one or one hundred.
I haven't tried all the cocktails, but this one has my unwavering support.
Support and enjoy Cafe Sardinia in their endeavor to make the world a happier place for...

Music is loud and it's hard to hold a conversation.
My meat-eating friends said food was OK, just OK. Lots of food was left on the plates, no doggy bag was requested. Our options were limited, but we made do.
Despite asking for 2 bills before our friends arrived, they told us they have a bug on their till system, then proceeded to loudly make it a while thing and making us manually calculate. Finally coming back with the two bills. It was awkward and making much of nothing. It was a constant interruption through the late half of our meal.
Then, again interrupting our meal with getting everyone's attention and announcing to the whole table things they could communicate to the sole person they needed to address. They take an order from 1 person, then come back and call everyone's attention. To the point we have to all stop talking. They did the same with the bill and various other times. Not in a normal way we other, it was loud shouting. There was limited peaceful enjoyment of our time together because we kept expecting "something else" to be less than smooth.
There's no toilet in the restaurant you have to walk quite a ways in the shopping center to relieve yourself.
Wait staff (while friendly) are in a hurry for everything, with a focus on getting tables through service to clear them fast. Had to keep saying we're not ready yet, and please we're not in a rush.
Everyone shouts, a lot during service in the restaurant, it's like they can't hear how loud they are - yes you gotta get over the music, but it's louder than needed. We had to ask a staff not to shout behind us towards the kitchen 10 meters away (she apologized, but still) the clearing staff and kitchen keep dropping things, like lots of things, heavy loud things and the restaurant would make shocked noises and turn around.
Cleanliness could improve. Tables wiped in a hurry with a dry dirty towel, no disinfectant or cleaning solution.
Made a reservation and they weren't really ready for our arrival we had to move seats 3 times before settling down for different reasons (incl. Air con dripping on us)
Pros: food and drinks are priced well, staff are extremely friendly, they are accommodating, well located, food comes fairly fast, there's indoor,...

We tried the happy hour special, where you buy one pizza and get one free, similar to their cocktail offer. The pizzas were decent, although the dough could benefit from a bit more fermentation time. The cheese in quatro formage wasnt that quality enriched. The drinks were good providing a refreshing accompaniment to our meal. The pricing was good about 35 aud pp
One standout dish was the pasta crab tagliatelle. While it had a nice flavor overall, adding a pinch of nutmeg could help balance the silkiness.
Despite a few minor tweaks needed, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Waterfront Cafe Sardinia and look forward to visiting again to watch the chaotic traffic and the golden sunset. Keep up...
