Read this before booking…. I dont know if i was just the unlicky one who got stiffed but i will never stay in this hotel again and this is why. ( disclamer that no issue was staff related they were all lovely). The rooms are all on the lower ground floor so under grown which isnt the smartest idea in a contry prone to earthquakes and tsunamis. On arrival i was told i had an executive suite room, what i got was anything but. Over my stay more and morw issues began to arise. The room is dark, dingy and full of mold, with no window for venterlation. The aircon leaked so badly it left a puddle on the ground that soaked 2 towels trying to dry it, and you couldnt turn it off as the smell would be over bearing without it on. The fridge no mater what setting it was on froze everything inside over night. There is no safe in the room for your belongings. The tv only had 2 channels both in Indonesian with no ability to chance it. The shower/ bathroom door is rusted and doesnt move and clearly hasnt been cleaned in a long time evident in the lime scale build up and the water went cold quickly. During my 3 week stay the bed sheets were never changed only pulled up during room cleans, to which i later discovered the sheets had stains on them from prior guests. There is no light switch for the bathroom so to turn all the lights off to sleep you have to turn off the main power switch and then you cant charge any devices or use any power ports for sleep apnoea machines. There is stains all over the carpet and it doesnt look like it was even swept out prior to my arrival. The amount of noise coming from other rooms and loud live music going on until very late above the room made sleep rather hard. The escalator didnt work the entire time i was here so to get down to the lower level and the only other mode is via elevator which posses its own issues. I later discovered that kutabex hotel is the budget side of the kuta heritage hotel which is adjoined. The door bells of each room are so loud you can hear other rooms bells going off loudly whole in bed. The room is very small and would not hold 2 people comfortably at all. I had better expectations for the price i paid for my stay and im very very disappointed with the quality when there is much better quality for cheaper all along the island even the next door resort. I will not stay again and wont recommend to...

The hotel is well located right across Kuta Beach. It has many restaurants just at walking distance, multiple massage spas nearby, very close to the market area. However, there are multiple issues with the hotel itself. The rooms are in shambles. The rooms are very small, after an extra bed in there, it is almost impoasible to move around in the room. The room has very low lighting, no window at all foe any natural light to come in. Its almost a dungeon. Another big problem is cockroaches ! You find many cockroaches moving around the room and troubling. How many can you end up theowing around ? The rooms need a lot of maintenance which the hotel has managed to ignore. The bathrooms are also in sheer need of maintenance. The shower is all dirty and broken. The door is not sealed well and hence a basic start of the unadjustable shower almost wers the room immediately. After complaining about the cockroaches, we were moved into an even smaller room, needless to say the room looked clean, but in no time the cockroaches company was back. Coming to the food experience with the breakfast. The spread was limited and predominantly non-vegetarian. We being vegetarians, had no support from the restaurant. We had to end up eating the fried rice or fried noodles each day in breakfast. The restaurant staff apart from one person who was kind and couetwous was really in need to learn attitude and how to speak and deal with customers. The food is srictly okay, but you cannot eat the same stuff for breakfast everyday for 5 days. Unfortunately we had a prepaid booking and had to spend 5 nights in the hotel. Read moreThe first thing you notice when you arrive at this beach front hotel is that it isn’t on the beach front. There is a row of hotels (which are actually on the beach front) and then a busy road before you get to this hotel. The reception area is within a shopping centre. The staff on reception were very nice but that is the end of the pros for this hotel. Non of the rooms have windows. The photos on websites are very misleading as all of the rooms have fake windows with curtains. Also, all of the rooms are in a basement as the rest of the building belongs to another hotel. Because of the basement location, the room we had was very hot as there is no ventilation. The air conditioning unit was very loud and did not cool the room. The bathroom had an awful smell of urine and the lights in the room didn’t work properly either. It was the most depressing room i’ve ever seen and apparently, according to the reception staff, this room was an upgraded one! The rest of the hotel had old pieces of furniture lying around the corridors and the carpets were filthy and covered in stains. This is the first hotel that I have ever checked in to and then left again without staying the night. When we informed reception that we wouldn’t be staying there and the reasons why, there was no apology, they just kept telling us that we wouldn’t get any money back. We were supposed to stay here for 3 nights but left after an hour and found a much better hotel which was fantastic and it was cheaper! You are spoilt for choice for places to stay in Bali. The hotels we had stayed at previously on this trip were excellent. As for the Kutabex...
