% Arabica Bali Kuta Beachwalk is a must-visit for coffee aficionados. With its excellent coffee, strategic location, and inviting atmosphere, it’s a place we’ll definitely return to get a great coffee.
The coffee quality at % Arabica is top-notch. They roast their coffee beans on-site, and after roasting, the beans need to rest for three days before they are used. We tried several options from their menu, including their signature White Mocha (59k) and Kyoto Latte (63k). The White Mocha was delicious with a rich flavor and less acidity, while the Kyoto Latte, their best seller, had a perfectly balanced taste that was both smooth and aromatic.
What sets % Arabica apart is their dedication to quality. The beans are sourced globally, and you can taste the meticulous attention to detail in every cup. There is a dedicated room where you can see the variety of their coffee beans and get an explanation about where and how they source and roast them. The baristas are skilled and friendly, always ready to recommend a drink that suits your taste. Don’t hesitate to ask the baristas about their different coffee blends; they’re incredibly knowledgeable and happy to share their expertise.
In addition to coffee, % Arabica also offers a selection of ice cream, croissants, and sandwiches. We enjoyed a freshly baked croissant and a delightful ice cream, both of which complemented our coffee perfectly.
The space itself is spacious and modern, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The minimalist design and clean lines create a calming atmosphere, making it a great spot to relax or work. We loved sitting outside, enjoying our coffee while taking in the beautiful...
Read moreFirst impression was ofcourse stunning display set ups that enhanced good mood with 2 of 3 group heads Slayer machines greeted us at the bar - but smashed down (my mood) due to I can't think of any good reason for selling 1kg beans for IDR 700k - 1000k when we got our orders that's totally taste mediocre!! My mind was blown away that they only have 3 types of Latte with explanations (from the barista) of : "this latte is sweet, this latte is not sweet, and this latte is with chocolate" (Kill me!). I ordered the "sweet latte" hoped for a sweet notes of the coffee beans and turned out that they PUT SUGAR SYRUP ON IT AND DIDN'T EVEN STIRRED IT WELL THAT I GULPED 10ML OF PURE SUGAR SYRUP AT THE END! Thanks for burning 53k for sugar and couldn't even ask for paper cup without paying additional 5k/cup, we couldn't even sit down so I considered 53k for burning calories standing up and queueing. Additional annoyance was that they are selling Braud's croissants at higher price that my friend ordered and requested to be heated up but came totally slightly under room temperature, so the taste is waaay far from the normal Braud pastry served properly. For a franchise set up, anywhere in Bali - Starbucks absolutely has wayyy better service and good Frappe selections. As a coffee shop, I can think of so many names of other coffee shops in Bali that will make you wayyy more than satisfied in terms of taste and service. Seriously doesn't worth anything except if all you seek is the % logo and don't care about anything else. % Arabica Beachwalk Bali totally ruined my great great great impression and wonderful experience I had at % Arabica Discovery...
Read moreI first found % Arabica at their Uluwatu location and had a phenomenal experience; best coffee experience in Bali for that trip. This time, I am visiting their Kuta Beachwalk location, and while much busier and more touristy, I am still pleased and would rate this as my best coffee experience of this trip to Bali so far (I am within my first 24 hours of the trip, mind you). (UPDATE: after visiting Volken, % Arabica rates as number 2). The flat white lacked the meaningful touch of good art (mostly just a blob of a heart), but the milk consistency was 8/10 and the espresso was extracted well. It was enjoyable to sit next to the roasting area and drink my flat white while they roasted some beans for me (we’ll see how those are; my guess is there could be significant variation between batches of roasted beans due to their spur-of-the-moment, small-batch, ready-for-you-in-30-minutes roasting technique). However, by the time I got that seat my flat white had one sip left, but you can’t blame a café for being busy.
The space is refined, just minutes walking to the ocean, well lit, and exuberant. The perfect place to sit with friends or by yourself with a book/journal. The perfect balance of enjoyable noise and exposed privacy through the hustle and bustle. So...
