LEGIAN CORNER — Restaurant in Kuta

Ok went in for the 5pm - 8pm Happy Hour at buy 2 ( 95k each ) and get the third cocktail free from an extensive list of cocktails . Sat at the front people watching over the street . With the 15% tax they all charge works out at about 75k a cocktail which isn’t the cheapest on the strip ( average probably 60- 65k with tax at Happy Hour ) but they were good cocktails . Bintangs 35k .

Food we really enjoyed . Wife had a succulent 1/2 crispy duck while I had a very enjoyable basic fish and chips . Service was also top notch .

Only down side is we had a group of smokers decide to sit right behind us even with the restaurant virtually empty soon after we first got there . ( Australians loving to get the chance to do what they can’t do at home 🙄 ) We don’t smoke and didn’t want start soooo … Easy solution .. we moved .

I was looking for Bebek Goreng as I walked along Legian Beach. I enquired at afew bistros with no luck but a waiter pointed me in the direction of the Legian Corner Restaurant. He told me it was the best Bebek Goreng in Legian. We arrived to smiling waitresses who quickly sat us. It was a hot Restaurant and had many fans placed around to assist in cooling its patrons. It had two larger television screens mounted in the Restaurant blasting out AFL and NRL commentary. Some Aussies and Kiwis dropping down Bintang and smoking cigarettes like it's going out of fashion. Not our thing so it wrecked the atmosphere for us. The beer was cold, the fresh juice was nice. The food was standard , nothing to run and tell your friends about. Indoor seating A/C was a joke with only 2 small blowers. We visited during the night and chose to sit indoors only to have us starting to perspire halfway through our meal. The Roasted Crispy Duck with rice I had was mediocre. It's supposed to be a local cuisine however the protein lacked flavour and seasoning. My mum's lobster was still ok. Quite empty during our visit. Maybe the other dishes offered would have seen better days buy for a 4.5 rating, I'm somewhat sceptical. Service provided was good enough though.
