Just came back from 7 days in Bali! We literally ate at this restaurant daily! The food was fantastic every time... there was a great range of options , plenty of vegetarian choices as well as chicken (curries, satay), beef rendang and fish dishes... we ate from what they call a buffet but really you just choose what you want from ready made dishes and get charged accordingly... the average price for a full meal was the equivalent of about $4 Australian dollars... there is also a full a la carte menu but I only ate from the buffet so every meal had a variety of exactly what I wanted at the time ... the sambal and onion chilli stuff they put on the side was totally addictive ... they also had fresh wheatgrass shots (really about 3 shots) for $1.5... some food in local type restaurants can be hit and miss in regards to food safety but no issues here, there were always people there so the food was turning over so was always fresh... recommended on...

One literally has to fish out his cutlery out of the food and clean it first. Complaints led to nothing, the waiters just don’t get it and give you an innocent smile instead. Another annoyance is the seating, wooden chairs without cushions (the used to have cushions but after a small fire the owner apparently decided not to buy new ones anymore). As a result, the seating became uncomfortable, far too hard to sit on and one can even rip his (pricy) pants from nails or wooden splinters looking out of the seat, which happened to me. The newest annoyance is far too loud music from a sound system in the kitchen, apparently to please the kitchen staff. I found it only very annoying and not suitable for...
Read moreI really didn’t want to write a bad review and I’m not sure if we caught them on a bad night but I’m shocked by how bad my experience with their food was.
I ordered chicken satay and noticed the first time majority of the chicken was still raw. No problem, just please fix it! We send it back, our waiter was apologetic and told us they would cook it a bit longer. If it came back to me and was cooked properly I wouldn’t say anything but somehow when I received my chicken for the 2nd time, it still wasn’t cooked properly. It wasn’t just pink but literally transparent that’s how raw it was.
I’m sure this isn’t something that happens regularly, but food poisoning is serious and I just hope I don’t wake up sick tomorrow… more attention...
