We were the only ones there on the morning we stopped in for breakfast. Staff moved in true island style, very slowly. Whilst we weren’t in a rush the table service was extremely slow considering we were the only patrons. I asked for a cheese and tomato toastie, which wasn’t on the menu, so had to describe to the staff that I wanted the ham and cheese toastie (which was on the menu) with no ham but with tomato instead. My partner order the eggs Benedict. We waited for what seemed like forever for our food to be prepared and brought to the table (over 20 minutes - remember we were the only ones there) and what we received was far from enjoyable to eat. My “toastie” was two pieces of bread with some tomato sliced on top and what appeared to be “plastic” wrapped cheese on top which had obviously been put under the grill for a minute or two. There was an obvious language barrier when placing the order. It was cold and not very appetising at all. My partner’s eggs benny was also not hot. The banana smoothie and juice were nice however. We wouldn’t be going back there anytime soon. Would recommend that if you are dining here ordering from the menu with no alterations would be your best bet to getting what you want. Don’t be in a rush, and I hope that your experience was better than ours. The staff inside were very pleasant and happy, but the wait staff literally took his job title seriously and made...
Read moreThis was my first (and probably only) trip to Bali. For context I am from the USA, and I live in an area where there is a lot of Asian food so I have a knack for identifying when the food is good or bad. I can tell you right now that the food here is absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are fantastic and the food is high-quality and completely safe. I ordered the fried rice and the fried noodles on two separate occasions and they were both very tasty. Another notable item is the milkshake, which also tasted very delicious (you could actually taste the milk, ice cream, and vanilla/chocolate flavoring). The best part though is the price, which is EXTREMELY good for the quality of the food. You can eat 1-2 appetizers, 1-2 entrees, and dessert with a nice drink for less than 30 USD; this is a great deal. They are also very accommodating as I went with a friend who is allergic to nuts and they were very patient and explained what meals would fit his dietary needs. The only slight criticism I have about this establishment is the wait time for the food which is around 15-20 minutes but its not a big deal as I mentioned above the quality and taste definitely makes up for it. This, along with the Quadbike tour (which is very good) are my core memories of Bali. I highly HIGHLY recommend eating here and want to take a moment to thank the staff for their hospitality and delicious food....
