I was quite disappointed with my recent visit. The food was average at best, and the steak I ordered came out burnt, even though I specifically asked for it medium. A friend of mine ordered a pizza, which tasted like plain bread with ketchup and cheese—definitely not what you'd expect from a proper pizza. This is a big letdown compared to my experience here a year ago.
Unfortunately, like many places lately, this restaurant seems more focused on squeezing extra money out of tourists than providing a good dining experience. In Indonesia, tipping for service is not mandatory, but many places now sneak in service charges—and in this case, not only was a service charge added to the bill, but they even calculated taxes on top of that charge. That’s simply unacceptable and feels like a scam.
The food is already overpriced, and it’s frustrating to feel like you're being taken advantage of. I won’t be coming back, and I can’t recommend this place to others.
The 1 star is for the live music and the nice atmosphere! I don't understand how people rate this place...
Read moreUbud a beautiful place in a beautiful Island with beautiful people just like at Balivilla4u Nusa Dua. Simply stunning. We have just walked 10000 plus steps from Ubud Bungalows along jl Monkey Forest rd to Ubud markets on Jl Raya Ubud rd and to to Jl Hanoman to the Monkey Forest itself and then to Jl Monkey Forest rd back to our hotel Ubud Bungalows. Check who is tbe most tired at our halfway stop and she got carried by Chrissie. We stopped at Tropical View warung on jl Hanoman at the Monkey Forest entrance for a Vegan snack. Yes a vegan snack for me. Wow. A miracle! Oh a Great warung at Tropical View & great food and looks towards the Monkey Forest. The slingshot in the photos is to keep the monkeys away from the tables. Even have charging points everywhere for phones. Smart people. My turn to carry Sammi rest of the way as you can see. We recommend the 4 hour walk. So much to see and do.

Read moreFood was so-so but the service and atmosphere is great. It's right next to Monkey Forest and they were promoting 10% discount off food (not drinks) if you show your monkey forest ticket. Really nice lighting and interior design, right next to a little rice terrace so good view, open air restaurant so you can watch the sunset colors in the sky. They had live music starting at 6:30 playing some good slow classic acoustics which added a fun vibe. We got the fried banana and onion rings. Service was really nice and professional, checked on us multiple times to ensure we were doing okay. The only con is the food could use improvement, it's not bad but it's not good either -- fried banana didn't have much banana flavor and would have been better with more ice cream and chocolate syrup. The onion rings were not good, too much batter to onion ratio and the onions were also not tasty--they just weren't well made. But the portions were good...
