We are happy to have Afghan restaurant finally in Yogyakarta, as we are traveling artist between Kreuzberg-Berlin and Yogya we kind of close to Afghan and big asian cuisine. We order Samosas and Kofta, the samosas pastry is very good, crispy but soft, more like Mürbeteig or short crust pastry, it really compliments the spice in the filling and the sweetness of potatoes. The Kofta is well spiced and the Basmati is very good also. Just the tomato sauce i think can be spiced more to add the nuance of fragrance Afghan delicacy. We ordered 3 dishes for two, chicken tikka, dopiazza and mantu. The tikka was a bit on the saltier side to my taste (this is only personal preference), still, everything was great. The meat was tender. I used to see mantu (dumpling) closely attached as a part of Chinese dishes but dining here gave me a new perspective about other food cultures.
