Updated with part 2 - Rsvp first, trust me. And remember to order decently, cause the portion here was pretty huge. This place was almost always being fully packed everytime we passed it by, and I now know why. This restaurant has a very wide range of serious menus on French Mediterranean food, with a really big portion, and a very affordable price. By serious menu, I mean they cook and prepare their menus very properly, as how the original recipes mostly are. The food you get here will be almost similar to the food that you will get at its' place of origin. In other words; authentic. We ordered Mushroom Soup, Pasta Crosta, and Lamb Shank. The Mushroom Soup was really nice, not so creamy but definitely plenty of mushroom. With a slice of toasted bread dipped into the soup, it was so heavenly. Their Pasta Crosta was actually the winner. It was baked crusty penne with plenty of cheese and beef bacon. They cooked the paste really proper, at al dente after being baked, not mushy and still have that enjoyable texture on them. Really nice. And even they use creamy and cheesy sauce, the overall taste was really yummy. Hubbie never really like creamy pasta, but he love this one so much that he ate half of it. Lamb Shank; our jaw almost dropped to the table when the lamb shank came in lol. It was so huge! The portion was bigger than my husband's head lol. We really didn't expect that. They cooked it very properly, too. The meat was very tender, tasty, and juicy. The herbs, spices, and vegetables were soaked on sauce, and the quinoa was yummy. We couldn't finish it since we already had the other two menus before, but it was really worthed. Beyond our expectation on all aspects lol. The people were very helpful and friendly, service was fast and effective, place was very stylish, cozy, and spacious. Price was very affordable. They also have wide range of desserts, which I will try tomorrow lol. I couldn't try it today, I was already too full. You could also buy healthy food, pastry, and bakery here. They have small shop dedicated to healthy food like almond nuts, sea salt, prum, etc. And small selections of yummy croissant, danish, or soft cookies. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we will definitely go back! Update: We went here again for lunch, and this time we ordered the caesar salad, duck confit, and menu of the day which was panseared tuna with lime rice. Everything was so yummy. I don't normally like tuna, but the tuna here was so fresh, and all of the sauce, combined with the tune and lime rice, were sooo perfect. Even the paprika was so sweet lol. The caesar salad was super huge! It was for 2-3 people I think, and it came with a basket of warm bread. And the duck confit with bread was beyond expectation. This kind of menu is a special one, not every restaurant could get it right. We loveee it so much! Even the cappucino with oat milk that we ordered was delicious. They served it with a chocolate and a cookie. I put the chocolate into ths coffee and stir it together. Perfection. We definitely love this restaurant and will be back whenever we visit Jogja again. Very recommended!

A true culinary gem in Yogyakarta — Mediterranea Resto delivers a world-class dining experience with warm local charm. Dining at Mediterranea felt like a brief escape to the Mediterranean coast — right in the heart of Jogja. From the moment you enter, the ambiance is intimate yet casual. Warm lighting, rustic decor, and a cozy indoor-outdoor seating arrangement instantly make you feel at home. It’s stylish without being pretentious, and elegant without losing authenticity. The food? Absolutely exceptional. Every dish is thoughtfully plated and packed with flavor — using quality ingredients that you can taste in every bite. Whether you go for the lamb shank, wood-fired pizza, pasta, grilled seafood, or even just their freshly baked bread, you can tell this kitchen is run by someone who loves what they do. Chef Kamil clearly knows his craft — and it shows. One of the most memorable dishes for me was the Duck Confit — cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender inside. Paired with their creamy mashed potatoes and a glass of wine, it was the kind of meal that makes you pause after each bite. Their homemade desserts (especially the chocolate fondant!) were the perfect ending to a delightful evening. And let’s not forget the service — superb. The staff were friendly, well-trained, and passionate about what they served. They were attentive without being intrusive, and happy to explain the menu or offer pairing suggestions. That kind of hospitality is rare and truly elevates the experience. Mediterranea is perfect for a romantic dinner, a family celebration, or even a solo escape for good food and wine. Prices are reasonable for the quality you get, and the whole experience feels like a small luxury in the middle of Jogja’s bustling food scene. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Yogyakarta, this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Indonesia. Bravo, Mediterranea! 🍷🍝✨

Title: A Culinary Delight at Meditteranea Restaurant by Kamil Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I recently had the pleasure of dining at Meditteranea Restaurant by Kamil, and it was an absolute culinary masterpiece. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, setting the stage for a delightful evening. The octopus salad was an incredible start to the meal. It was fresh, tender, and bursting with Mediterranean flavors. The combination of perfectly grilled octopus with a zesty vinaigrette left me craving for more. The Duck Breast with Risotto was the star of the evening. The duck was cooked to perfection, with a crispy skin and tender, succulent meat that practically melted in my mouth. The accompanying risotto was creamy and well-seasoned, making it an ideal pairing for the rich duck. To end the evening on a sweet note, the Panna Cotta was a heavenly dessert. Silky smooth and not overly sweet, it was a perfect finale to an exceptional meal. However, it's not just the food that makes Meditteranea stand out. The service provided by the waitress was exemplary. She was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Her genuine enthusiasm for the restaurant and its cuisine added to the overall dining experience. In summary, Meditteranea Restaurant by Kamil is a culinary gem that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. The outstanding food, combined with the warm and attentive service, made this dinner an evening to remember. I can't wait to return and savor more of the exquisite dishes this restaurant has to offer.
