My visit to this newly-opened restaurant was rather bittersweet, not because of the food but because of the service received. Let me explain why:

We arrived with my partner, normal stuff, took a look at the menus and when we made up our mind, we ordered. So far so good, but then we were asked if we had ordered two more times, which is not bad, but just adds up to the whole experience.

After informing the staff two more times that we had already ordered, we got our Diavola and our Prosciutto e funghi, only to instantly realise that they had put the Gorgonzola topping I asked for the Diavola in the other pizza. "Well, it's okay, they are new, let's not be harsh" - I thought, so I let the matter pass.

Then, the time to order dessert came and we got a preety good Nutella pizza, but a minute after, a member of the staff came to give us a dessert meant for another table (a tiramisu), followed by another dessert for another table another minute later.

So anyways, we figured "let's get coffee before we get another unwished dessert" and my partner went to the bar to get two small americanos. At this stage, what we got after 10 minutes of waiting was expected: two teeny tiny espressos instead of two americanos ( although one was kindly replaced afterwards upon request by a member of the staff).

Last stop in this funfair train: we asked for the leftover pizza to be put for take away. The member of the staff came in with a pizza box and we put the leftover pieces in it by hand, just before being weirdly asked which types of pizza they were. I thought they understood that we wanted another pair of the same pizzas for takeaway. In the end it wasn't the case, but I didn't know what to expect at that stage.

Don't get me wrong, I understand, it's a new place and people are not used to running it, but the atmosphere of disorder that I experienced made me not enjoy my time in there regardless of the nice pizza. I will come back, or maybe not,...

We had a lovely dinner today at Sanos cork. It was our first time here and went very well. We waited maybe 3 minutes at the door to be seated. We got window bay for our party which was 2 adults and child. After short while waitress came to ask are we ready to order and we were. We took 2 set menu pizzas and kid's menu one. 2 dips and lemonade. Despite good few other guests in the restaurant we received our order in about 10 minutes and was great towards the end waiter came to check out on us twice and take plates away and bring ice cream for our daughter.

In general it was great

Pizza is nepolitan style so it's bit more wet and very light. But that what I was expected and wasn't disappointed. Priced are between 11-15 for standard 12 inch which seems to be slightly bigger then 12. Ingredients are good quality and are generously placed on pizza. Kids pizza was bit smaller then classic size but not much smaller. And for 10 e your child getting glass of lemonade and cream on the end. So very reasonable

Dips seems to be small but for us was more then enough 2€ each also we recommend sparkling strawberrie lemonade for 1l only 4€ and it's very tasty.

I can't say for any other meals beside pizza or any other day when different stuff is working but today 4th may 2025 it was a fantastic experience for us. 46.75 €for 3 people is very...

Man, this restaurant was disappointing.

The food was quite bland, I ordered the Margherita pizza and added fennel sausage as the options are extremely limited (no chicken, no pineapple, etc.), and when my pizza arrived it was slightly burned on one side and there was barely any sausage (which costs an extra €2 something to add). There wasn’t much cheese or sauce, the pizza was thin, and it honestly just tasted like dough. Should also add that I came here with my partner, and we had one pizza cutter (a very poor quality one) between us.

The menu was very limited. There’s only a handful of toppings to choose from, they don’t serve fries, just salads, olives or bruschetta. My partner asked did they do sweet chilli, which the server said they do. They then proceeded to bring a small tub of chilli (minus the sweet part), and when we asked about it they said they don’t do sweet chilli, just chilli - which is crazy because the first time we asked they said they do, and then proceeded to charge an extra €2 for it.

Then to top it off, it took 10 minutes or so for anyone to even take our order.

On the plus side, they were quick to seat us, and it wasn’t a long wait for food once our order was finally taken.

Overall, incredibly disappointing. There’s lots of other options in the area that...

I tried Sano Pizza for the first time on Wednesday. I already have my top 2 places in cork city for pizza but wanted to give this a try since it opened up recently. I lived in Italy for 6 years so I know what authentic Italian pizza should taste like. Sano pizza did not disappoint. We ordered a diavola and rucola and it was exceptional, the dough was perfect and toppings were very fresh. The only critique I would have is to give more toppings, I felt like I ordered a magherita instead of Diavola as the salami was a bit scarce. Nevertheless I would visit Sano again as they got the dough spot on which is difficult to do. I have recommended Sano to all my Italian friends in Cork as they are always complaining about pizza in Ireland, I don’t think they will have much to complain about in Sanos. I’m gonna try the vesuvius next. We paid around 30 euro for two pizzas, coke and water, very affordable prices.

Affordable delicious and the pizza was cooked and served very quickly. The centre of the base could have been a bit more crunchy like the rest of the pizza ,crispy to perfection, All the juicy ingredients gathered a little in the middle other then that a very tasteful filling and satisfying pizza. Next to the awful dreadful outdated looking main bus station of Cork City. This up to date restaurant building was a delight to sit in, eat and be attended to by friendly professional staff, and take awhile to relax and enjoy the decor, a delicious pizza freshly cooked and great value with a fantastic interior design. Great deals and combos. Prices are surprisingly reasonable. As for the decor and Atmosphere of the restaurant, it is fantastic artistic and very inviting. The atmosphere of the restaurant is outstanding. The atmosphere of the area is just ok. All in all great food and service.

We visited this pizza place in Cork recently. At first, everything seemed great the pizza was much nicer than I expected, the atmosphere was friendly, and the staff were lovely, especially a very kind lady who looked after us. The kids even enjoyed ice cream at the end, which made for a nice finish. Unfortunately, my experience was ruined when I noticed someone who appeared to be the chef in the kitchen handling pizzas with bare hands (no gloves), then sending the same plates out to customers. Because we were seated facing the kitchen, we could clearly see this happening. For me, hygiene is just as important as good food, and it was disappointing to see this practice. As much as I enjoyed the pizza, I left regretting our visit, as I wouldn’t feel comfortable returning unless hygiene standards improved.
