Visited this restaurant whilst on holiday and was rather impressed with the experience. The restaurant is nicely located in the centre of Cork and offers a wide range of items on the menu. The ambience of the restaurant is fairly nice and the chairs and tables are lovely. Staff were friendly but at times a bit too forceful, especially when requesting drinks orders and then when not all of the party ordered drinks they didn't seem too impressed and then left to go and make some of them. Whilst at times the staff seemed hasty, at other times they'd disappear and I didn't have a check back for my order. On the contrary, this doesn't imply they were rude and the staff were smartly dressed and professional. The food menu was lovely and it offered a wide range of main menu items at reasonable prices too, given the location and ambience of the restaurant. The food was full of flavour and the pizza I ordered tasted lovely, with a well-balanced amount of toppings on it. The dessert menu was nice however I didn't choose a dessert, they were rather fancy and small in portion size but I wholly recommend the main menu. The water was brought to us in a timely manner and the member of staff thanked us as we left. Overall, the restaurant visit was nice but I would equally look to explore other places should I visit the area again. The restaurant serves a wide range of Italian classics however I found that there wasn't a lasagne offering. Thank you very much, please see the photos below of some encounters on my visit here!

I’m so sad to say I think you should avoid this place if you’re eating in Cork. This review might be a bit of an essay but hopefully it helps give feedback. The food is bizarre and strangely bland but also a lot of the times not as advertised. I ordered a chicken tagliatelle and received something very close to a cacciatore with extremely over cooked linguine. None of the pasta is fresh and the menu seems to be devised to reuse all the dishes in each-other. The pizza we had had absolutely no base flavour even though it looked quite promising. The Arancini was so over cooked it had no inner texture and the sauce it came with was as thin as water. There’s nothing good to say here. The service was polite but we waited for our reservation time and they insisted we have a drink outside while we wait- then there was a bit of drama over them trying to seat walk-ins ahead of us. The beer I ordered while waiting wasn’t what I asked for but had already been opened by the waiter so I didn’t want to say anything at this stage. We also got asked to take our mains immediately as the kitchen was busy which was fine but not ideal. The whole experience was just really grim and feels like this restaurant needs a menu and service overhaul. In spite of all this it was super busy and atmospheric. Ps. Why is no one talking about the fact the garlic bread is pita bread with garlic butter in it????? Why!?

We arrived around 6:30 on a Saturday evening for a table of two. Pictured below was my view of the restaurant. The host sat me with my back to the travel lane that was next to the bar. I was facing the wall. Is this the way they treat their customers? I told our server we are pulling the table out so we can sit facing each other. Tables in front and back of us along the wall were seated properly, so I don't know why I was treated this way. The server was hesitant but I began moving the table to a respectable position. Problem solved. The host didn't like it and he kept staring at me. How rude. I ordered the chicken cacciatore with rosemary potatoes. The chicken was dry, the sauce was good but a bit salty. The potatoes were actually a baked potato cut in half. It was mushy, overcooked, and tasteless. My wife had the sea bass dish, which consisted of 3 thinly sliced pieces of sea bass, which was tough, dry, overcooked and salty. The sauce was decent, and again the rosemary potatoes was a whole mushy baked potato. This isn't Italian food, and the attempt to fuse Italian and Irish food (?) was a failure. For being a busy restaurant with dishes that sound really good, our meal and experience was subpar and disappointing.

I have to give 1 star review but not for the food, food was always very nice whenever we went there. 1 star is for the service which was unacceptable. I used to be working in the same industry for 13 years and I am very familiar with the way if good service. A week ago I went there with my girlfriend for the lunch. We were seated outside and our waiter was tall, slim with grey-ish hair, couldn't say his age but he might have been in his late 40's. We both ordered panini Al prosciutto and we even pointed what we wanted on the menu. When he brought our food it was completely different panini, it was vegetarian one and we told him that we didn't order that but instead of taking it away he first asked if we were okay to eat that and we said that we are not okay with that because we specifically came to have meal that we have ordered. After while he brought us correct meal, and when we have finished he asked would we like to order something else and I have ordered two latte's. At least 20 mins have passed and we didn't get out coffee so I went I side and the same waiter approached to the till and asked if I wanted to pay. I told him that we have ordered two latte's and that we are still waiting for it but he kind of rolled his eyes and turned his head towards inside of the restaurant and said that it was busy so I didn't like his attitude because that was second mistake that he made and he didn't even look bothered so I told him that I will pay and that we will have to go get coffee somewhere else and this respond to that was "thank you". I told him that it's not right the way he responded and that such a service is not acceptable but he didn't care, he just gave me the bill and it was clear that he really wanted to get over with it which has showed me that he doesn't know what a good customer service is and that because of him or any other server who provides such a poor service like that will drive the customers away. I'm not sure if we gonna be back to bochelli again which is pity because the food is nice and all our servers in the past were nice and friendly but it was very clear that he didn't want to be there and that he didn't care about the customers and if we ever do go there I'll make sure not to be served by him. So advice for management is to educate the waiting staff of how the good customer service is supposed to be and example if the guy from today is clearly far, far behind the...

Had a meal as part of a group celebrating a birthday. The food was very nice and the portions were large, almost to the point you would struggle to finish them! There was a nice menu to suit most tastes and a good selection of wines/beers to choose from. More on the expensive side but as far as the food is concerned, worth it.

It was the service that let the restaurant down. When I arrived and walked in I stood at the desk just beside the entrance. I stood there for just under ten minutes, every time one of the numerous staff passed I attempted to get their attention, but I was told each time someone would be right with me, so there I stood, waiting. Eventually, three colleges arrived and the four of us standing there were harder to ignore. We were brought to the back and sat at two adjoining tables. We informed the server that there would be eleven people and we would need more space than what we had. we were told that the third table would be free soon, a few people were using it, having a drink, and waiting to be seated elsewhere. We had all arrived and that small group was still at the third table awaiting their table, so we crowded around the two we had. Once service began it all went very smoothly, the food was hot and fresh. At the end of the meal I asked a staff member, the manager I would assume, if I could have a coffee, he said sure and walked off, fifteen minutes later I was still waiting. I asked him again, he told me there was a lot of coffee being made and mine should be ready soon. He went over to the serving area, and sure enough my coffee came immediately, he had obviously gotten distracted and forgot.

I would like to say that our waiter and waitress were very friendly and efficient. The restaurant was also very busy, it was a Saturday night, so it would be reasonable for my coffee to be forgotten, it happens, and it was a manager I asked so he had probably a hundred things to deal with at the same time.

Would I eat here again, absolutely, but I would probably try a quieter time. the food was definitely...

Very disappointing. We had booked weeks in advance and let them know it was a special occasion. The whole night was extremely rushed and not once were we asked how the food was or how the night was going. There was not enough staff to look after the amount of people in the restaurant, the whole experience felt like being a sardine in a tin so they could make as much money in as short a time as possible. It was incredibly hot with no air flow, honestly please get aircon or open a window, we were sitting I can't imagine how the staff felt. Didn't take our drink order, just went straight to food. The arancini were doughy and we had asked if the goats cheese starter had a rind on it as I'm currently unable eat this, we were told it didn't but it did. The main courses were on the table as soon as we finished the starters and they were so disappointing. The mushroom dish did not taste like mushrooms, they forgot the side we ordered, both dishes tasted as if they had been cooked hours ago and kept hot, the risotto was soggy mush and had tagliatelle in it. We had been planning on getting desserts but decided to go elsewhere as the experience was not enjoyable. When we asked for the bill we weren't given a second to look at it before the card reader was handed to us. Not once were we asked "how were the starters", "was everything okay for you?" "Did you enjoy your evening?" "Are you okay for drinks?". The nicest staff member was a young woman who didn't seem to have been trained yet but was by far the most pleasant person we dealt with, she was the only person who made eye contact, smiled, got our side dish for us when it was forgotten etc....
