The Alibi Bar + Kitchen — Restaurant in Cork

Ordered food at 7pm Monday 2nd Dec at the Alibi bar Cork to be shown a NOTE at 7.45pm by the bar staff from the kitchen that our order won’t be started from at least another 45 mins to maybe an hour as the kitchen was busy! It was like a sketch from Fawlty Towers sitcom. Absolute disgrace no other people in the bar to be served, so I guess filling online orders & the customers sitting weren’t important at all. Took a refund & left, what a joke of an establishment, no respect for customers, at least have the manners to tell us this as soon as the order went in, there was just two of us how hard could it be to cook a few burgers, it’s not rocket science. I had spoken to the bar staff before we ordered about booking for a group next week which I now wouldn’t dream of doing. Would never recommend ye to anyone for food. Made a last minute booking on Saturday night for about 30 of us for my birthday and Shane the manager could not have been more accommodating or helpful, all the staff we dealt with on the night were very pleasant and looked after us quite well even doh they were very busy they still came to check in on us from time to time, great bar with a great atmosphere, good music and great cocktails, we ended up staying there until close as we had everything we needed and didn't feel the need to go elsewhere, hats off to Shane and team for all they done for us, everyone who attended my party couldn't have spoke more highly of the night and said it was one of the best nights out they had, a very well run bar, probably one of the best...

Went in to the alibi bar yesterday the 15th of September, came in just for a quick pint to destress after a hospital visit, when I walked into the bar I asked for a pint of guiness whilst the barman decided to look me up and down and tell me I’d say leave it off and just shaking his head looking me up and down, I said excuse me? He said just leave it off you’ve had a few too many, I haven’t had a sip all day nor did I look in anyway intoxicated or slur my words, then when I was asking for explanations I was getting ignored, went to dwyers straight after and there was no issue at all.
