If you are in Cork City centre make your way to the General Post Office in Oliver Plunkett Street, cross the street and head upstairs to the Hi-B Bar. It apparently got its name because of the ancient Hibernian Hotel which years ago was located here. At the top of the stairs before you enter the door on the right you know you are about to go back in time as the sign on the door states โNo mobile phones allowed. Please talk to each otherโ.

If you are only going to visit one pub in Cork the Hi-B has to be at the top of your list where you can enjoy a unique experience while having one of the best pints...

He was leaving just as I arrived and the lone barwoman was overwhelmed.
Other favorites: The Raven was another quiet one, with nooks to disappear into. Thomond and Welcome Inn had the best music.
P.s. Chat with the older guys if you love Ireland. They'll tell you about a country you'll never get to witness. " I'll remember...
