The coloured lad seems to have a problem with me every time I comes in here one week he’s acting like a security guard I asked him for his psa license number but couldn’t provide me with one. Last night on the 3/9/22 I was in chatting with friends as normal he came up to me again and said out your bard when I asked him for his name he refused me that as well. I just hope he will have all the proof why I’m bard as he lol be seeing him in the courts.

We arrived at 11 people for lunch, the waiter immediately prepared a large table for us. We each ordered a different dish. We were pleasantly surprised to see all our dishes arrived one after the other without delay. We wanted to highlight the friendliness and helpfulness of the waiter. We ate very well and had a great time. Highly recommended !

My favourite pub in Cork ? It has to be the Old Oak in Cork. Go inside and the place is massive. Excellent and friendly staff who are more than helpful serving the beautiful Guinness for you. Food is incredible with very substantial portions plus there is entertainment nearly every night plus lots of screens showing the football. Top pub 👍😁

I might be a bit old fashioned but when I go out for something to eat, I usually tell the server what I want. If I’m eating a sandwich or a burger and I want something left out, I usually ask the server to leave it out. This kind of request would be common enough. Businesses usually give their paying customers what they want, servers usually do their jobs with the paying customer in mind etc.

The kitchen here — supposedly — doesn’t entertain people who want to leave something out of their burger or sandwich or make changes to what’s stated on their menu. It’s a simple request that I’m sure many people regularly ask for.

A lot of the staff in here could do with a refresher course on how the world works. There is some seriously pig-ignorant behaviour going on in this place towards the public.

While we ate, we saw a Spanish woman standing at the smaller bar for over 5 minutes while 6-7 of them walked in and out numerous times, blatantly avoiding eye contact and ignoring her, before she eventually asked someone for a drink. Only then was she told go to to the main bar for service. There are no signs or anything to warn people of the fact that it’s not a service area, and the rudeness of it all was simply disgusting to watch.

For a bar that does so much sloganeering to appeal to a certain cohort of infantilised adults, it’s not surprising to see that so many of their own staff behave like...

Will have to be honest here either the owner gets confused on who his clientele is as I was talking to a man on a quiet week night who only finished work. He had a whisky and a pint he just stepped outside with his pint to have a cigerette where you can smoke and drink. The owner came from around the corner entered the pub a muttered something to him. The man I was chatting to went back in to replace his empty glass and the owner pointed him out to the staff that were on and said never to serve him again. The man just thanked the staff and left his empty pint with them. They looked as perplexed as the man that was humiliated.

The man didn't even look for an explanation, I wanted to ask the owner why he did this but was intimidated in case I got the same treatment.

There was also a big bycot of the pub before which you can look up where the management refused to serve a person over their sexuality.

It is not a venue you can rely on also it seems to try to favour a younger crowd foringners and young ladies, maybe to try and entice a crowd. My other friend that do not drink was refused for being drunk. It seems the door staff have their mind made up from 5 yards away before you even get to the door. On my return to Ireland I will not be spending my money and time here. Hope this review helps people that have had the same experience or are deciding to drink here. Just read some of the...

This place is a joke Friday the 2nd of September 2022. I was at the first bar inside there, first bar wasn’t busy, bartender didn’t acknowledge I was there so in order to get her attention. I called ‘sorry’ to get her attention. She then said 2 secs, so I have a thumbs up to be like okay no worries. Then some older guy working there, came up behind me and asked how many drinks I was after? I said 1 pint (cus that’s all I had). Then asked for my age said 21. Then he proceeded to tell me that I’ve had enough to drink and then I had to leave the bar immediately. Saying I’m now barred from there. He then proceeded to tell every bartender and bouncer there about what happened. And made it obvious by pointing directly at me to whoever he was talking to. He then stood pretty much directly behind me till I left. My cousin then asked him ‘what actually did I do wrong’. He then told him, that if you call a bartender over. It’s not allowed and that I’m banned from there. I used to work in a bar, that’s how you had to get some bartenders attention by calling them. I didn’t call the bartender anything nasty or bad. I called ‘sorry’ to get her attention. This old skin head guy who obv works there was genuinely very rude and very cranky. Since when is that a banable offence? No signs up around the place about that ‘rule’.

Place...
