Eco on Winthrop — Restaurant in Cork

RUDE STAFF! The food and drinks at the bar is okay, it is a useful location if you need to print something. However, the Staff at the internet-location site (staff at the bar is okay) is extremely rude and inflexible, they wouldn´t consider a request of mine or just try to ignore it instead of considering a customers opinion or explaining their reasons.

After having written a bad review about Ecocafe, the manager would come to my table and ask me to leave the Ecocafe and told me that I am not allowed to write something negative. "Eco"-Cafe, but no freedom of speech allowed.

I strongly recommend to not support this mentality, since it is not authentic and the reacción of the staff and management members are not adequate since they prefer to get around conflicts than to offer a satisfying customer service. Running a cafe, you just can not ignore customers requests or try to go around explanations, even if you don´t have to fulfil a customers request. Used to be my favourite place in college, they still have fantastic hot chocolates, friendly staff, broad opening hours. Minus 1 star for currently only serving in disposable takeaway cups even if you’re staying in ☹️ (so remember to bring your own if you want to avoid the unnecessary waste, they do accept that 🥳), and another for the fact they’re not asking for vaccination certs when staying in. Not the safest thing these days... also, if you’re asking for a non dairy order, depending on the barista, keep an eye out as I’m pretty sure I ended up with dairy milk instead of oat milk once...
