Excellent restaurant. We had grilled lamb, sea bass steamed in parchment, grilled hearts of gem lettuce salad, and a cheese platter for dessert. Everything was done perfectly. The lamb was a perfect medium rare with a nicely browned and caramelized char grilled outside and came with a little side of aubergine stew that was actually a highlight. The sea bass was delicious and perfectly done and the grilled heart of gem lettuce provided a beautiful fresh counterpart to everything. The cheese plate was nice, perhaps not particularly special, but the crackers and chutney it came with were both special and delicious. The service was friendly if at times a little bit amateur, but the location, ambience and decor are all lovely. I highly recommend dinner here. We forgot to get photos of our food, but e we snuck a few bad photos looking out the window from our table.

Definitely enjoyed eating at Oliveto. I took my dad as a belated father's Day present. The restaurant was full of families with young children so was not the atmosphere we were hoping for, but we were not disturbed by any of the children as the restaurant is well suited to managing kids. The portions of food were massive! I was stuffed after the starter and definitely did not need my main, however both were very nice and we had a lovely time. I would have liked to have taken a bit longer with our food, we had 2 courses and a bottle of wine between 4 and left within an hour, but I understand that if they cater for groups with children that this is desirable. I would definitely go back, but with more of an understanding of the feel of the restaurant.

Have loved Oliveto for years. Was the first restaurant I found in Dublin with a fire pizza oven (have found more since, but this was the first I came across). Amazing pizza, not shy of toppings, on a thin crust that I love. Their antipasto board is incredible, I could eat it as a main meal, and have done so. Different lunch & dinner menus so great to try at different times of the day. Very popular so always book ahead if you don't want to be disappointed! Popular for a reason!

Beautiful food and ambience and have eaten here many times. Our order of 5 was wrong tonight and one of our party was left without a main course . The offering was a pasta dish or to cook the dish that was ordered which would be another 20 minutes. We opted neither and to share with one of the other party in our group. We ordered wine, drinks dessert and our bill came and we paid with the 10% included tip and more. I mentioned to the manager I really thought was disappointing that we had to share a main and that there should have been a dessert or something for the inconvenience of being with our party and one not eating a meal. I was told I was offered pasta or could wait for the dish to be cooked . I was then told I could speak to the director which I didn’t feel necessary and said I would call on Tuesday after the weekend ( who was so apologetic) but the manager did and he was quite forceful and rude to all of us .Really awful end to a lovely evening and one of our guests so disappointed but yet we paid above and beyond. Very...

This is the first time I've not been overly impressed by Oliveto restaurant. I've been going to this rest. over the last 4 years and yesterday (mother's day) I've been quite disappointed. First, I've ordered the Duck main, and after a few minutes the girl came back saying there was none left (even though we were booked for lunch at 12.30 and were the first ones there) so I suppose they just didn't have it on the menu at all that day. I wasn't offered any alternative, so I have chosen the pork braciola, which was slightly over cooked for my liking and very greasy. Then I had the wintery crunch dessert and it was ok, pity the fruit was cold as it didn't make it justice, as I once had it before, with much warmer fruit and it was delicious. My children shared 1 margherita pizza and a few chips, and my husband had the chicken main (we had no starters). To drink we shared a prosecco bottle - and the bill came to around 130 €. I'm not sure I want to go there again...a bit of a let down for such...

One of the best evenings for a family birthday with the most amazing food and outstanding staff. A pleasure before walking into the restaurant- location and presentation is stunning with amazing views over Dun Laoghaire harbour and Dublin Bay beyond. Staff were attentive and welcoming and full adherence to current COVID requirements which is reassuring. The waitress from Italy was friendly polite efficient and extremely happy to be there. The food was amazing and fresh aromatic and very well presented. We had a lovely with evening with 8 family member celebrating a family birthday. We really could not have asked for a better night! We had a full range of the menu with amongst some of the items were:charcuterie board for 2 - very generous portion! Pizza which was delicious! Gnocchi and pork were perfect and the desserts outstanding! The kitchen has what it takes to stand out for the right reasons! Well done! Great to see such high standards for a budget! We will be...
