Brendan's Cafe in Dublin, Ireland, has quickly become my favorite spot to indulge in a delightful breakfast or lunch. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately sets the stage for a memorable dining experience.
The standout feature of Brendan's Cafe is undoubtedly their chunky fried potatoes. These golden nuggets of deliciousness are a culinary masterpiece. The perfect combination of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they are a must-try for anyone visiting. It's not an exaggeration to say that Brendan's has perfected the art of crafting the most scrumptious fried potatoes in Dublin.
What truly elevates Brendan's Cafe is the exceptional hospitality provided by the staff. The people running the shop are not just excellent at what they do; they are also incredibly friendly. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel like a regular, even if it's your first time there. The welcoming atmosphere adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience.
The menu at Brendan's is a testament to their commitment to great food. The fry-ups are a particular highlight, with each component cooked to perfection. The balance of flavors and textures in every dish is a testament to the culinary expertise of the kitchen.
Pairing their fantastic food with a cup of tea is a match made in heaven. The tea is brewed to perfection and complements the meal beautifully, especially when enjoyed with their freshly toasted bread. It's evident that attention to detail is a top priority at Brendan's Cafe.
In conclusion, Brendan's Cafe has won my heart as the go-to place for breakfast or lunch in Dublin. The combination of exceptional food, friendly staff, and a welcoming ambiance make it a standout destination in the city's culinary scene. If you're in Dublin and haven't experienced the joy of Brendan's Cafe, you're missing out...
Read moreHonestly one of the worst breakfasts I’ve ever had.
I don’t know what happened, I assume this place must have at one point been good given the other reviews on here, but we were just served the cheapest possible overcooked eggs, bread etc. with no care or love whatsoever put in and charged a fortune, more than I’ve seen advertised at nicer looking expensive places – not expecting the world at a greasy spoon, but I’ve been to many and this takes the brown nobbly biscuit for the worst I’ve ever eaten at – for only marginally more we got a swanky brunch elsewhere yesterday. If we had any spine at all I would have told them what I really thought of their overpriced tasteless effortless food, but English politeness (cowardice) dictated I should wait and do it here.
I never normally do reviews and I’m sorry to be so harsh but seriously, something needs to change. I truly believe in the institution of the cheapo breakfast cafe and its place in this increasingly expensive world, so I want this place to be good – either lower your prices (to be honest for what we got anything more than a couple of euros is an insult) or find something to believe in about the greasy spoon and make some kind of effort because this ain’t what it’s supposed to be.
I’ve never been more ticked off by a...
Read moreThis was an interesting experience. We only came in to grab a quick small bite before going in to Jameson. We ordered one meal and then sat down. Probably very obvious we were not from Ireland. During our meal, a random sign was written and then taped to the register that sharing a plate is an additional 3 euros. Of course when we got rung up it was an additional 3 euros than what we expected. When questioning why we were being charged, the owner (I assume) said we took up two seats despite the restaurant being otherwise empty. Would have been fine if we were told as two people entering a restaurant ordering one meal, but to change while we were eating and then charge us doesn’t seem fair. All of my other reviews are of positive experiences because I don’t like to write negative ones but this one really...
