John's Bar & Haberdashery — Restaurant in Dublin

Great atmosphere pity about the staff, left standing at the bar for nearly half hour to get served(which i can accept it was very busy)but to be told after standing there that long and being ignored a staff member finally came over to me and said that the part of the bar i was standing was only for getting food only i wont be getting served a drink even though other people were served drinks there before me . Absolutely ridiculous if its food only Ive no problem with that but don’t leave me standing there that long like an idiot and pick and choose who you want to serve drinks, always go in before and after a gig in vicar street safe to say i wont be back.

A month since email been sent and still haven’t bothered to reply…….shocking

Still haven’t bothered replying to the requested email I’m curious have they ever bothered their hole to email...

Nice bar with a great pint of Guinness. Service is awful though. Ordered our first round of beers and waited about 15 minutes before going in to check on what the delay was. They forgot about our order, no big deal! Ordered our second round and same thing! This time when they dropped our pints out they apologised and said they were really busy! There were 11 people sitting outside and no one in the bar because of Covid restrictions. That's 2 staff members to 11 customers! When I went inside to check on my drinks the bar man was on his phone and it took him a few minutes to even acknowledge me and the lady that were waiting to be served. We booked a table in advance and when we arrived we were told we could either sit in wow burger or not have a table. The floor manager was rude and I find it appalling that he had no respect for the booking system his employes use or the customers (that won't be returning) use. If I wanted to spend my evening sitting in a cheap burger joint smelling of chip fat I wouldn't have gone to all the trouble of arranging a night out and booking a table Replying to your response....
