Cappello — Restaurant in Dublin

For our last night in Dublin before heading home, it was late, we still needed to finish packing, and our 8-month-old was already asleep. So UberEats it was! Whenever my husband and I travel, pizza is one of the things we order when we get tired of the local food. We know nothing can beat NYC pizza, but we always like to see how good (or bad) the pizza is in other countries. And this one was bad. Well, it wasn't terrible - but it wasn't good. We just ordered a margherita pizza - nothing too crazy. We figured you can't mess it up. But it tasted like a frozen pizza. There wasn't even any basil on it. And for €15.50?! Someone call the cops because a robbery has taken place. We also ordered a chicken Caesar salad because we needed some veggies but the menu failed to mention that the dressing already comes mixed in. And there was SO much of it - globs and globs that made the hard, pre-shredded parmesan cheese chunk up everywhere. So much dressing, that the salad was soggy and inedible. Maybe they needed to soak it in dressing because the salad was probably not fresh, so they needed to hide that fact. The chicken was also very dry. They probably grill a bunch of chicken, reheat it over and over, and just use that for the week. And this one was €13!

What a last meal in Dublin! It's our own fault though. I guess that's what we get from ordering pizza (and Caesar) from a place that also sells Thai red curry, "Asian stir-fries", and enchiladas (which I didn't see until after the fact because if I knew, I certainly wouldn't have...

I placed an order and cancelled immediately because Uber Eats assigned it to a wrong adress (it was a destination usually used for. Uber taxi, not the hime address). Placed ordered again to the correct address and was charged again. Uber Eats refused to refund 1st ordered saying that restaurant accepted the order and started to prepare it, and I was charged TWICE for the same order (one cancelled and one correct). Unfortunately, the 2nd order never arrived. .. A courier came from part of restaurant with a brownie and asked for the Pin before handing that over. Thought that I was getting the entire order and gave the Pin. He said that order was given to a different courier who came before him, and that restaurant knows that we did not receive the order. Both Uber Eats and restaurant refused to admit any mistake or accept any blame. I tried to order dinner and I ended up with paying almost 100 euro for a brownie. I will never order from this restaurant ever again or use Uber Eats. This was totally unfair and showed lack of customer service and accountability for their mistake, and it"s something to be worried about. This could happen to anybody and I bet the restaurant didn't make this mistake for the first time. The pasta is excellent however the waitress that works there is single handedly the rudest person I have ever encountered and as long as shes working there this place will never get the 5 stars it deserves.

I had ordered food off deliveroo, i specifically selected that my pasta not have cheese on it as I am allergic. The food arrived and my pasta was covered in cheese. I then called the restaurant and the waitress proceeded to spend 10 minutes lying to me about my order insisting that I had requested cheese even though i had a copy of the receipt in my hand. I told her that i live around the corner and would bring the receipt over myself if she continued to lie to me, the waitress insulted me and when i went to the restaurant the chef was extremely apologetic and kind and made me my food as requested. However the waitress lied to my face again saying she was trying to offer me free pasta which was a blantant lie and proceeded to insult me to my face again in the presence of the kitchen staff. She never apologized once.

The kitchen staff were excellent however given the abuse I received twice from the waitress there I cannot recommend that anyone visit this establishment as long as that awful woman is still there.
