Regarding the answer: First of all, thank you for your return. Without asking for the bill, We told your staff about this situation. He asked us what kind of evening we had and we said it was definitely bad, too much noise. He said, "I wasn't expecting it either, it was definitely very noisy." It seemed strange that you responded this way when your staff had already given us approval on this matter. Also, the fee we paid was definitely more than 50 euros, but that's not the point anyway. Your attitude is very wrong. While your staff had already accepted this situation, why didn't you say so? You were saying you would find a solution. We reported it to him and he did not give a solution, he just said sorry we were not expecting it. We reminded them at least 6 times about the service, those who came after us received service, but we waited for a very long time. We waited for a very long time for desserts, and finally my partner told you that we had ordered dessert and after they bring

I say it again; If you have made a group reservation, you need to warn the couples in advance. While waiting on a romantic Saturday evening, we listened to the noise of a group of more than 10 people, it was a terrible experience.

When we first walked in, we were greeted warmly, sat at a table and ordered our drinks. Everything was fine until 20 minutes passed. A large group came and there was intense noise. We were taken downstairs for dinner service, and even though we were the second to arrive, it was late. We waited for a long time after we were taken downstairs, while everyone who came after us received their services. A large group came in and instead of a romantic dinner, we had a terrible evening with the sound of a large group. I wanted to celebrate my birthday with a romantic dinner, but I can say that it is the worst birthday experience I have ever had.

If you are making a reservation for such a large group, I think those arriving as a couple should be notified in advance. If I wanted noise, I would go to a nightclub. The food came late, everything was so bad that we couldn't focus on the food. I'm so sorry to have such a sad birthday. I wish we had never come. If you have made a reservation, be sure to check whether they take group reservations.

Anyway, I focus on beautiful photos and end the day unhappy. Only your dessert and wine were good. service was extremely slow. Main course was bad. Definitely not worth...

Unprofessional and unreliable booking process

I am writing this review to warn other potential customers about my experience trying to book a group event at Le Peniche. Soudesh, was unprofessional and unresponsive, and he wasted my time and efforts.

I emailed and called Soudesh numerous times in past few days, to take the deposit and confirm our group booking for dinner for the first week of October, but he never responded in a timely manner. He would often reply days later, and sometimes not at all. He made excuses, saying he was busy, on holiday, or driving. Finally, after mulitple follow ups over the emails and phone call, I called again to follow up, and he told me that the dates were booked. This is when we confirmed the date and timings over the emails and called multiple times. The only pending action item was to pay the deposit which was pending from his end due to his ignorance and laziness. I am writing in details here since he mentioned false claims in another review, and the true needs to be told. He showed no remorse for wasting my time and efforts instead blaming me for the delay and playing the victim card. Soudesh, I suggest you to be truthful on your business account to the customers and apologize for the unprofessionalism intead of lying boldly

I urge other potential customers to avoid booking events at Le Peniche until Soudesh is managing it. He is not a reliable or trustworthy professional.

Hope the response is apologotic and not gaining unture sympathy!

Highly disappointed by the wrong and false claims by soudesh and wastin hours of my time and runing...

Wonderful dining and cruise experience at La Peniche in the heart of Dublin! La Peniche came up as a unique dining venue, so we giave it a try. We were not disappointed. The crew was friendly and the service was excellent. Started off with drinks on the uppder deck. The crew provided blankets to guests to keep warm. They offer a 2- or 3-course menu for a fixed price. We enjoyed the Charcuterie board, Salmon Rillette, Filet of Seabass, Confit Duck and Bailey's Creme Brulee and Chocolate Cake. The two French chefs did an excellent job of preparing plates for each table, and the mood inside the barge was friendly and convivial. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that the barge would actually sail up and down the canal. While it's not a very long cruise, it is interesting as you go through a lock and you see a lot of envious pedestrians looking at you enjoying your time on the Peniche. All in all it took about 2 and 1/2 hours and with the clear weather we certainly enjoyed the dinner and the cruise. The drinks menu is very extensive and reasonably priced. Excellent value for money given that you dine and cruise at the same time. Must reserve in...

La Peniche is so close to being 5 star and certainly could be with some improvements! Firstly, on arrival, you are seated on the deck and your drink orders are taken. After about 20 minutes your food orders are taken. Once starters are served, everyone moves down to inside the barge to have their meal. The deck itself could do with an upgrade. Really there is only so much you can do with weatherproof furniture BUT the table I was sat at had a huge very noticeable crack in it. The food itself was nice but the dessert portion was a bit lacking. There are only two options and the cake I got was very small compared to the creme brulee my boyfriend got. Still nice though. Now the service from staff and crew was outstanding. They were very efficient at their job and also very kind. Overall I'd recommend La Peniche for a novel experience and not for a fantastic dining experience. Also, this is a very minor gripe but when booking you are asked if there is a special occasion. On my cruise there were 2 birthdays. I had put down it was our anniversary but there was no mention of this during our dining experience.

I really fancied the idea of this mini canal cruise over dinner and it started really nice. You can have your drinks on board before you head down for food. Really enjoyed this part. I would really like to see this place more taken care of, they can absolutely upgrade it and make it more stylish. In my opinion food was not good, only the starters not something wow though. We spent nearly 150e without dessert, and I felt it was not worth it. I really recommend that this place should be like starters, cheese boards and wine only, not 3 course meals. Food was microwaved and nothing special, on the contrary. Also the level of noise from big parties ruined the whole atmosphere. It’s so beautiful down there but big parties kept yelling and laughing hysterically. When we booked this place we really had in mind that it will be the perfect date but we were somehow disappointed. Staff is really helpful and kind, they try their best. I really recommend that this place will change things because it’s a really good idea from the business point of view.

A very good restaurant, the bottom of ship is much comfortable and cosy. Perfect for weekend food. Food is little expensive but staff is supeb nice and friendly. For happy birthday 🎂 of anyone who visits they also have amazing arrangements and play the birthday songs. Staff was so nice they sang song for my friend birthday and made the experience amazing. Will like to thank Nicole who was an amazing host and did excellent arrangement for my friends birthday dinner 🍽 . She was so nice and welcoming and also helped us with menu items and what to order as per our taste preferences. Thanks a lot La piniche and Nicole for amazing experience and making the weekend birthday dinner so special 😋 🙏
