We had the pleasure of dining at Mint Leaf restaurant on Friday night as a family of six. Our experience commenced upon our arrival at 7:55 pm, slightly later than our reserved time of 7:30 pm. However, I had previously contacted the restaurant to inform them of our expected delay.
To begin our meal, we opted for the mixed vegetable platter, which included a samosa, onion Bhaji, and aloo tikki. We were thoroughly impressed with the flavors, taste, and textures of these appetizers.
For the main course, we ordered a variety of dishes, including kadhai paneer, paneer balti, paneer madras, chana masala, palak paneer, and chilli chicken in a gravy style. Additionally, we were served the chef's special dal tadka and dum aloo, accompanied by breads.
Among the dishes, paneer Balti, dum aloo, dal tadka, chana masala, and chilli chicken were particularly exceptional, standing out with their remarkable flavors and execution.
While we thoroughly enjoyed the flavors of the paneer curries, we did feel that some of the dishes could have been more distinct in terms of flavor profiles, as they seemed somewhat similar despite being different curries such as paneer madras, paneer kadhai.
We would like to extend our gratitude to our server, Akash, who exhibited great patience throughout our dining experience. He accurately took our orders and made accommodations for menu items that were not officially listed.

Read moreMintleaf Restaurant in Dublin offers a culinary experience that is as delightful as it is memorable. Their red Grenache wine is a highlight, embodying a rich tapestry of flavors that perfectly complements their exquisite dishes. Among these, the Chicken Marsala stands out—a dish prepared with such finesse that it can easily be considered one of the best in the city. It's the kind of meal that lingers in your memory, the savory sauce and perfectly cooked chicken combining to create a symphony of taste.
But the quality of the food is matched, if not surpassed, by the hospitality provided by George, whose service is a seamless blend of professionalism and warmth. He has an incredible knack for making guests feel treasured, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion.
As for accommodating a diverse party, Mintleaf excels. The adults and children at the table were equally well-served, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. The unexpected extra desserts and starters were a thoughtful touch that did not go unnoticed.
In summary, Mintleaf is more than a restaurant; it's an experience, one that caters to all ages with exceptional food and drink, outstanding service, and an ambiance that leaves you eager for...
Read moreI love this place and we've been many times. The food is always excellent and the staff go out of their way to make the experience pleasant and welcoming. Jamal is a gentleman.
It's with this fondness for the Mint Leave that I am respectfully making the following suggestions, which would really enhance the experience for customers:
Ask takeaway patrons to wait in the porch area. The constant comings and going and people standing beside tables waiting for their collection detracts from the experience of people paying to sit in and dine. I think asking people to wait in the porch area would make a big difference. People collecting food (and I’ve been one too) really don't want to be waiting in the middle of a busy restaurant either!
Put a closer on the door so that when people enter and exit the restaurant, the door closes after them. I had to get up multiple times, as did other people, to close the door after people - it was really cold when left open. This is largely linked to point 1 above, as collections are most of the footfall.
Never, ever, have a staff member shining/drying cutlery at a table beside and in the middle of paying customers. It was really noisy, distracting and, in my opinion, is not...
