Gourmet Tart Company — Restaurant in Galway

The food is great. I have always loved the food in Gourmet Tart. In the last month I've been going to the Gourmet Tart in Salthill. The first time was good, but the second time was horrible. I went with my daughter and we had to wait for some time before the staff came to help us. They were not busy, the lady was on her phone. The second time I went there was with my younger daughter, we were the first ones in before three other people came in separately over time after us. My daughter and I waited by the pastry area for a long time, I tried to make eye contact with the lady several times but she completely ignored me. She served the first person that came after us, then she moved on to attend to the second person that came after us even though the person she was serving was asking me if I waiting to be served. Then the other Male staff came in and straight away he attended to the third person that came in after us. Then the lady came and asked if we know what we want. Fool me once shame on you but fool me twice, shame on me. Never going...

Highly recommended for sit-in meal or a take-away treat or coffee. The food in the restaurant is so tasty, they offer breakfast from 7:30 am, as well as delicious meals for lunch, including my favorite ramen and some very interesting specials like cuban sandwich. They are always busy in the weekends which is a great sign, but if you want to enjoy the food, come during the week. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. Honestly, this might be one of the worst places I've visited. 3 staff members ignored us before one informed us that we were to order when we were seated. One staff member took our order. Another member then deliver our goods, missing my drink. This wasn't a big issue as I didn't really want it. Food was quite expensive and bland, refrigerated, bought in pastry. Poor selection and did not have what I wanted (chocolate croissant) despite having 30 or so on display. Won't be visiting again and would not recommend...
